Why in God's Name didnt he release....... GOOD MAN?!?!?
This was a hit waiting to happen! I believe it could still be a hit! Just re-record it with the same passion, funk and energy. All I can say is WOW! This song is one of the best, if not THE best outtake Ive ever heard by him..in my opinion. Sorry if Im overreacting..I just heard it for the first time yesterday. Hey Prince...take the advice from one of your own songs and...Release it!

there are at least 40 outtakes we've heard more in need of release than this one. this one always kind of left me cold. of all the ones to have in great quality, this one... meh....

Wayyy dated....and wayyy cheesy imo. However, it would of been hit material for anyone else back then and a lead single. Shows Prince's league. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

Just listened to this the other day. It is a good song, possible a top 20 hit. But definitely not the best. Now "Get Blue" is a top 10 hit that he gave away to Louie Louie back in the early 90's. __________________________________________________

One of my favourite outtakes ever. It sounds like it could be a track from a 90's Camille album.
Most probably he didn't release himself because it was included on the intended MC Flash/Margie Cox album (version #2, sung -terribly- by Bill Franze). The album was never released and Prince's version wasn't graced with inclusion on Crystal Ball.

Good outtake, but he didn't release it, because it is quite similar to Partyman and he definitely needed that song on Batman. It sounds a bit too dated for later releases and wouldn't have fitted on any other album, style-wise.

It's not bad, fitting well into the 80s that's for sure.
But there are many more that I prefer. I'm sure he could re-work many, using the lyrics and "modernising" the sound somewhat. I wonder if our friend is on holiday. He wrote it for someone else (don't remember the guy's name) and that other guy put it on his album - i've heard the version, it's lame.
