Would you sign up and subscribe again to a new P website? - Hope this helps P in his decision making!

Please, please keep this one simple i.e. no arguing, flaming etc!. If P were to announce a new site subscription based site 100% promising the type of content that we could reasonably hope for [no need to list as we know what we want!] would you subscribe and how much would you be willing to pay OR would you prefer a pay per download service like ITunes?
I have to be honest and say I would say yes BUT only on a pay per download basis - need to bear in mind how much I spend on bootlegs which is A LOT!!.
Over to you guys.

I've heard about Prince's 100% promises.

I'd rather eat my own head.

lol, i just want a seperate thread to clarify where our heads are at, the thread has too many personal battles going on. I think if we can keep this one nice ,simple and clean we can send a clear message to P. Hope that's O.K.?.

Yeah, I would.

I didn't sign up for Lotusflow3r because I thought I was gonna get X, Y, Z. I signed up as a show of support for one of my favorite artists. Therefore I was never disappointed.

No. Didn't join the last one.

Militant, he doesn't require your support that way, buy his product in a store, attend a concert. Otherwise, he won't learn. He'll continue to dupe people. 'A whole galaxy awaits' Please! that alone implies more than what people got.

His web life is over unless he can show what is for sale before people purchase. But even then i think he's burnt his bridges with the website thing. Too much distrust.

100% no....I wasn't 'stupid' enough to sign up to Lotusflowe.com after NPGMC.

I'm amazed that anybody did if they had half the problems I did....besides that it passed of old tracks with swearing/racy lyrics silenced as 'new tracks' and then said "sign up for a lifetime membership fee"...before promptly closing. Dong get mevstarted on the incentives to join that never materialised....Rave Into, Workd tours that never left the US/Canada, lost membership details when trying to buy tickets to the ONE time he toured the UK in that time....

Nope, once bitten twice shy...3 times shy after hearing my suspicions confirmed by the poor Lotusflower mugging victims

Well, I wanted the album as soon as it was available, it was never released here, and when the physical CD did FINALLY show up as an import in UK stores months later, it cost £40 ($60+)!!!!

And supporting someone isn't about whether they require your support or not. If I never spent another dime on Prince it wouldn't make a difference to him, would it? Any money that I spend on him is nothing compared to the years of enjoyment he has given me with with his music.

Rant over, read your question properly....if an external company ran it and prince was CONTRACTUALLY obliged to provide songs on a pay to download basis then Yes. But if he has the ultimate say on what and when and even if he puts songs out then it's always a no brainer "no"

Prince doesn't know how to keep his promises. And this is like the 4th thread on "Prince's future website idea" sort of thing.

Probably yeah.

Either that or I'll throw a bunch of my money out into the street.

Or save some of it for the next lawsuit the fans get hit with.

Please.

I gave my answer, as did everyone else. People will still be fools and buy into Prince's next website, initially lauding its success, then lamenting its failure six months in. Prince doesn't care about keeping a promise, or providing anything worthwhile to a fan yet. Prince isn't reading this thread either, so although it will prove to be good conversation, it will make no difference in future decisions on Prince's part regarding internet presence. I have never subscribed to, and paid for, any site that Prince has ever had.

in this case are you using the term "Prince fan" as a simile for "gullible" or "weak willed"?

So you'd join knowing you're hesitant, and probably ignoring your gut instinct, all in the name of being a Prince fan???? That's bizarre behavior.

I would rather buy every CD in Janet Jackson's catalogue than sign up for another Prince site.

(by the way, I loathe Janet Jackson's music)
