I'm not hating on him personally but I am mad at Prince for choosing not to vote. Is anyone else mad at him as well?

It's his choice and this should be moved to the main Prince board.

I'm disappointed but not mad. For me, it's just the idea that so many black people, his people, fought and died (or fought and were murdered) for this right and as politically apathetic as he may be, voting does matter. Even if you don't care about who the president is, there are other things to vote on like tax increases, adding to your police force, building parks and libraries, expanding your community. Honestly, people should know that Prince wasn't much of a voter....ever!

I think it's odd when someone has the option to vote, but declines to do so, in turn, letting other's decide one's fate on a civic level. For instance, choosing where and how your property taxes are spent, or electing a particular county Judge who may some day officiate over your very own lien dispute.

Are you mad at him for not voting in general, or specifically for Obama? (Which I guess is what you're referring to even though it was ages ago), long time to be mad any way, and obviously his vote wouldn't have made any difference to the outcome

I agree that many facets of democracy do appear to be a sham. However, of all the systems we have, it's the best we've got. So we need to work on it to improve it.

It's not only JWs that don't vote so not unique at all. Generally, those dissatisfied with life in general, don't vote. Sorry if I offend those who are happy with life but don't vote. Anyone I've spoken to who doesn't vote, is never happy, always full of complaints about this that and the other.

Look, it's Prince's business if he wants to vote or not. He's not told other people to vote or not to vote--he's simply stated that he himself doesn't vote. I say, let the man do what he pleases.


There's no reason to be mad at Prince for his voting practices when there are so many real reasons to be mad at Prince. so, so, so , sooooo many my friend.

Well let me stir up some crap here....Im not mad a Prince AT ALL for this, and heres why.
I have NEVER nor will I EVER vote. The electorial system is ridiculous!
Electorial votes basically means every vote does NOT count, despite what they want you to believe. If we went by Popular votes, then I would be more than happy to vote.
Example....
If only 2 states turned in votes for the next election..say South Carolina and California...
Now say only 1 person voted in California and that person voted Democrat.
Now say 1 million people voted in S.C. and everyone of them voted Republican..
The democrat would win the election simply because Califonia has more "electorial" votes. Does that seem right to you?
Besides, I highly doubt the election has been legit for quite some time now.
I know that seems a bit over the top, but its just my opinion.
America USED to be.. A government FOR the people BY the people.. Now its, a government for the government BY the government.
I personally back Prince 100% in not voting. Its a bullcrap system and Prince probably knows it as well I do.
