LIFE CAN BE SO NICE!

This is a killer track from Parade!

When he played this on the Parade tour he extended it with Eric Leeds on sax, which slowed down and slowed down until it ended, it was one of the best live moments I have seen fron Prince to date...has there ever been an extended version of this track, or even a boot that continues after the very abrupt end as on the Parade album!

"Life Can Be So Nice...kiss me once, kiss me twice..."

Absolutely brilliant!

I agree. An excellent masterpiece that deserved a LOT more track time.

I love the screaming towards the end! Gave me chills, awesome sophisticated Funk! The mixtures of strange instruments, acoustuc drums with wierd effects & big Linn clap sounds, etc.

I'm sure the extended version with a normal ending is in The Vault. Remember they had to cut this album down too.

Isn' this the song he sings to himself while waiting in his car before Mary Sharon shows up in UTCM?

I like the song a lot, as all others on Parade, but I just
can't get used to that guillotine ending.

It's such a brutal break into Venus de Milo. But perhaps
that's the statement -"Enough!, now a slice of poetry".

Hmmm... Just what I'd been thinking all these years...

I know exactly what you mean. I LOVE THAT PART on the tour. But I lost it on my computer. I'm very sad about that.

Wow, you were there in 86? Great!

Compared to ONA tour, how was it? I mean you know, the band, the sound, the feeling.

I think both tours are somewhat similar, except Prince danced and jumped and really had this magical energy, no holding back because of any religiousnesses.

Must have been amazing.
