Can he still dance?

I hearsay that Prince refused a hip replacement and is suffering the consequences, as he needs a cane to help him walk, which (along with being over fifty) I assume leaves dancing out of the question. If he does tour as rumored, will we have a more stationary Prince this time around?

he didn't really dance during 21 nights...just a lot of walking and standing still.

Hmmm. i thought he had one hip replacement and needs a second one. Not sure, but regardless...I think Prince could dance a lot more than he does. Nothing is stopping him from breaking out those James Brown foot shuffles and doing some spins in the middle of a guitar solo.
The only thing he is incapable of doing now is probably just the splits. I imagine that would be quite painful.
As far as his age...Look at MJ when he was reheasing for his last gigs. The man could still throw down!
I think Prince is just more about the music now. Kinda sux cause he could still get the audience jumping with some dance moves.

Prince can still dance. He is all about playing the guitar now since he is finally being recognized as on of the best. As for doing splits, dude is working on 52! How many 50+ guys are doing splits?

Prince can still dance just not like he use to. I mean he is over 50 and he still puts on a great show. As far as his hip goes if he needs a nurse to care for him, I will apply for that job. Wink Love ya boo. smile

I'm sure he can still dance and probably jigs around the bathroom mirror.
If his hip is painful then better idea if he sits at the piano more. cool

that was going to be my question. i haven't seen video of any of the shows, outside of the US TV performances, that he did last year.

what was his mobility like? how physically active was he? range of motion, limping, etc....

he really only danced during "kiss" and it was pretty good. no splits obviously, but could still move. he walked by me when he left the stage and seemed to be limping a bit. maybe from just being tired though. who knows.

He does limp but disguises it with a sort of a swagger....

was just wondering if anyone knew when the last tour was when he properly danced/splits etc like when he was younger? Honestly, i don't need him to be able to cut it up, even stationary he's a funky MF...i'd like to see him playing trombone on a unicycle but sadly I don't think that will ever happen.

What show was you at, the man was lightning at mine. Ive previously said i prefer the dancing on Musicology and 21nites more than any other.

I was showing the lady boot footage of 21nites and she commented how he performs with the energy of a Justin type, meaning, that age range.
