I forgot to mention in my previous post that I knew a man that was friends with Sheila's family especially her brother Peter Micheal. He's from Oakland. He had a side gig at the time managing an up and coming girl group. We started discussing music and I mentioned that I liked Prince. His face did a 360. He told me he couldn't stand him because of how he treated Sheila. He said they were involved and he treated her bad with an emphasis on the word bad. I like Prince a lot but there is way too much evidence that he doesn't treat women very well. As a female fan, its been hard to accept this. Whatever the case, she's probably the closest female to him in his life. I mean she's always stuck by him during his numerous affairs and seems like the only one who understood and tolerated him/ Plus she even still performs with the man and 2 my knowledge still isn't married or have children...just like him!

On a serious note, I think if Sheila E ever tells her story we may find the reason she did or didn't allow herself to be treated by Prince, the way he treated many young women, is due to what she experienced as a child. Sheila has embraced her religion and from what she's said in recent years, I think Sheila has healed the molested little girl inside of her so now she won't ever allow any man to abuse her, emotionally, mentally, or physically.
