This is probably a silly thing to notice, but on Sheila's Sex Cymbal album, she made a point in the liner notes to thank the musicians on the Lovesexy tour...which kind of pointedly left Cat out. I always assumed they didn't get along, whether it was because of romantic fighting over Prince or whatever.

I have never understood the timeline of Sheila's involvement with Prince. The PR-generated (and presumably false) time frame was that Sheila and Prince were involved in '84-'86. But in real life, is it assumed that Sheila and Prince started dating after Susannah left? Because I'm guessing they were going at it before then. Whatever the case may be, I believe the story that they were engaged at some point. I've heard Sheila's father state they were, so I take it as fact.
