How much of Common's new album to Prince produce/participate in?

I just bought Common's new album "Electric Circus". It's tight as hell and I highly recommend it to everyone! Common has reached out and fused alot of different types of music.

Prince is credited with keyboards and guitar on Star *69. Does anyone else think they hear background vocals as well at times from Prince? The song has an outgoing beat (different from the main beat in the song) which is obviously Prince's production.

I also think Prince might participate in other songs on the album, although he receives no credit. Possibly playing guitar on "Aquarius" and "Electric Wire Hustler Flower." Common does say in Aquarius "I'll hit it from the back Under the Cherry Moon". Also, Larry Graham gets mentioned in a later song on the album. Additionally, the cover of the album has a picture of Prince in the upper left hand corner (listed #1 in the sleeve guide). Common also thanks Prince saying "thank you for sharing your wisdom and your gifts, you have enlightened the world."

A review of the album on Launch says it sounds like what would happen "If Prince had ever successfully come to grips with hip hop"

Do any others orgers notice any possible Prince moments on the album or references to him?

i love the album myself...but i don't think prince's involvement goes beyond the track 'star 69...'

other musicians are credited if i'm not mistaken...but you know, with prince you never know...

Respectfully disagree here. Common's last album was one of his tighest!

Electric Circus won me over because of the music more than anything else. I still say that "Resurrection" is Common's best as far as lyrics go... "I Used to Love Her," "Resurrection," "Communism," and the list goes on that makes that album a classic.
