I always thought it was the return of the Bob George character, Prince with the deep bass voice modulator. It kind of sounds like a slam on Rosie Gaines, have no proof of that though. I wasn't aware of any bad blood between them, other that she took her album to Motown. Can't really blame her since Paisley Park Records closed shop around that time. Anyone know anything more about this rap? This is all speculation on my part, but it's a cool rap.

These are great because he raps in his 'own' voice and own personality.
Unlike all the 90's stuff where affects that same sound over and over again to his voice to sound like a deep voiced macho rapper.
With these, his rapping was totally unique, unaffected and sounded pure.

The rapping on Days of Wild (The Beautiful Experience video version) is really cool too.

I think one of his best raps was the ones he per4med on "Sex Me Sex Me Not" from the Chocolate Invasion. I think there is a lot of coolness in his voice... I really like him sounding that cool and bit arrogant in a positive way (Excuse my English, I'm from Germany)

i dont get why people like RACE ... that song (if u can call it that) is one of the worst and i mean the worst flows i have ever heard even from prince ... the fact is prince cannot rap ... he tries to fit in to many stupid words and clever whatevers ... listen to notorious big ... he can rap ... prince should stay far far away from anything to do with rapping ... the stock beats and the poser lyrics ... ugghhh ..
that said his best efforts are gett off ... verse one slightly sung and a few moments in days of wild ...
