First off, this is one of my favorite songs by him, released or otherwise.

I always get a chuckle out of the end of this song where the band 'ignores' his direction, and he gets annoyed.

But I've always wondered if is was 'real' or not. I can see both sides - it almost sounds like he's genuinely annoyed (especially when he asks Susan to 'fade the sh** out') but I don't think he would leave that on tape if it were real.

Well, it's an unauthorised boot, so I'm pretty sure Prince didn't have much say in what elements of the stolen recording got to be leaked.

Prince's band would be fired if they were really that inept.
