Prince can't follow through with anything he does. He is still being sued (or is going to be) by the perfume company who created the 3121 cologne. He bitches about almost every distribution deal he's had. I mean, who the fuck is Prince to talk smack about Clive Fucking Davis????? He can't do anything good with any retail venture he undertakes. How many people didn't get t-shirts last year? How many people were getting the wrong ski jackets in 1997 or after when they ordered it? Two more words: CRYSTAL BALL Just make a record, and sell it. Period. PS If the cartoony figures on the NPG Music Club site are any indication of Prince's style - they'd be overpriced, and shitty looking garments. And Prince "forgot" to pay the maker of his pimp canes too, right? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Here's a money spinning idea for him: Release a really great fucking album and tour behind it, he hasn't done that in a very long time.

Yes. I just ran across that part in Possessed: The Rise and Fall of Prince, which I'm reading for the first time this weekend. Gary and Suzy Zzahradka were one of the victims of non-payment in the Purple Drain article from July 1995 in the St. Paul Pioneer Press. I used to have that whole paper, as a friend's mother in White Bear Lake, MN saved it for me. I had actually framed it for a while in my house back in Tulsa.

Anyone remember the faux-Target ad that cropped up around the time of Lotusflow3r's release? Too funny.

Are you saying you had a Purple Drain newspaper article, about people Prince owed money to, framed in your house for a while? Do I understood you correctly or do I have the wrong end of the stick? Don't over think yourself in assuming you're going to get one past me. Your cynicism is nauseating. It was what it was, and I don't apologize for it.

That's a terrible idea. Prince does NOT have an eye for clothing at all. Unless you like dressing like a circus clown of course...
