Prince fucks up a lot of business endevours because he is a control freak. the very same qualities that have allowed him to create and carry on a 30 year music career on his own terms are the same that cause what ever his latest debacle is. Surely u folks realize that they are flipsides of the same coin.

I would hate for Prince to bring himself to u guys level by speaking personnally to u. I know what would happen. Every word would be parsed and he would be desrespected with name-calling and such. Just it would be more directly to his face.

So far the so-called fans have called him a dick, has-been, idiot, thief, loser, everything short of a murderer or anti-christ. Its all not that serious. And if it is serious for u need to go to the doctor and get some xanax because some of u people whole existence seem to revolve around the latest twist in his existence.

While the internet has given everyone a voice and access, it has also revealed how ego-centric, greedy and down right mean a lot of folk are. Its the id run amok.

So yes I hope this latest debacle makes a lot of u go somewhere where u can vent happy thoughts instead of venom. But what I think will happen is those of u who love to degrade will just intensify the hate becuse it the hate that fuels your life.

All this crap that's happening is part of the experience being a fan..

Yeah, I love Prince. I think he's an amazing artist. But as far as him opening a website goes...I'm not joining or investing my money in it. The org is probably one of the best P fanbases I've come across, so I'm sticking with it.

All this crap that's happening is part of the experience being a fan. I take none of it personally. He hasn't sued me or DEMANDED I remove a video from you-tube or asked me to take down a site run with his likeness on it. I do not understand why 9 out of perhaps 10 people take it so personally.

I was hit with the $77 renewal and what? I'm supposed to be pissed? Well, I'm not. I would have liked a letter perhaps a week before the fee was withdrawn from my account but, if I'm not mistaken I am supposed to get it back and deposited in my account (or my wife's account).

I have the $ and I can afford it.

That's why I work.

I sympathize with the fans who were hit with it and it caused them slight financial problems. I say, let's move on and move forward.

Well, I didn't sign up for the site knowing full well in advance Prince's history w/ websites & most of the folks bitching knew too. It doesn't make it right what he did but @ the same time you had to see it coming. He never said he would release all this music he said it was in the works & it might happen. He never promised to deliver anything except what he did. The whole reason I never signed up for the site was b/c he never promised anything or guaranteed any quantity of music outside the specified albums, so I waited until I heard of something, but all I heard was bitching, so there u go. I didn't get burned b/c I knew better so no hard feelings here. I am disappointed he did this to fans that support him, but we'll probably go through this all over again if there's another site. I was a member of the npgmusicclub b/c I kept hearing good things & music kept releasing, plus he changed the price to something more affordable... I'm sorry but anything more than $50 to a music site is absurd, and I'm not falling for it until I hear good enough reviews on it or until I hear I might actually get my money's worth.
