Prince does try to make others feel bad about their religion to the point of passing out religious tracts saying every faith except the JW faith is false. When he does such a thing it becomes our business.

If you say you follow the tenets of a faith and do some of the exact opposite, people will call you out on it.

Tremolina is a friend of mine but even if he were not, I would still agree with pretty much everything he said. There is no one here that does not make comments about other celebrities whether it is our business or not and Prince is not immune. He himslef has made snarky comments about other celebrities lives that were none of his business, too.

Why people take criticism of Prince so personally is beyond me.

Because their minds are too weak to seperate the man from the music.

Yeah I might, and for many fams it will surely all be a waste of time, but I know many more agree and just felt like writing about it and discussing it.

Look at how large the front page with bad news has become!

Oh well...

For the record, if you think I take all the bad prince news personal, I don't. I am simply amazed by it and wanted to discuss it.

It seems tho' that some fams feel really bad for him and that this thread makes them feel even worse.

Wow, just wow. I just saw how bad the front news page looks for Prince and realised the news hasn't been so bad in a very long time, maybe never before. But I do not feel sorry for him. Not at all.

First, after partying it up on New Year's Eve with these wonderful people in that wonderful, godly town of Las Vegas, he excels himself like never before, by releasing an amazing new fight song for the Minnesota Vikings, called "Purple and Gold", which songs deserves to be praised for that title alone. Nothing better than such an energetic, egostroking march to pump himself up while he faces the music in an Irish court.

No big deal really, just a € 1.5 million lawsuit that he was slapped with over cancelling a concert for 50.000 fans just 10 days prior. After a week of revealing testimonies from Prince's management, but a deafening silence from Prince himself, he settled the case, making sure the plaintiff left court as one "very chilled cat".

Nothing inspires an artist like Prince more than a funky lawsuit, so to the fans great delight, Prince released another gem, perhabs one of his best songs in years, decades even, called "Cause and Effect", an incredibly deep and honest reflection of Prince's most inner thoughts about himself, his god and his universe.

This inspired and unique masterpiece of funk-pop-rock crossover was quickly followed by a smashing defeat in court over a video on Youtube of a baby dancing to his golden oldie hit "Let's Go Crazy". That cute video of her little toddler having fun made his mother so proud that she decided to take it all the way to court, when it was shamelessly and mercilessly removed by one of those evil music conglomerates. You know one of those blood sucking corporations that his Royal Badness hates so much, yet also hires to vigorously 'protect' his invaluable intellectual property assets.

Every fan that has any clue how Prince operates, was already anticipating yet another mindblowing new song by then. When even the courts okay the theft of his songs, the man must be steaming and rolling in the studio! "To all the babies on the internet, no more candy for you!"

But no, there is no time to funk around, because there is still more important court cases to attend! Some shady business with a perfume company to be exact, that a judge decided will all be dealt with in court soon, promising us a true revelation of the more smellier side of Prince's business affairs.

Naturally, all this made the loyal Lotusflower members nervous. After all, year 1 was quickly nearing its final days, lawsuits were being filed as fast as Obama is spending money, so will he now at least release 3 new songs?! Maybe even an whole album?! At least one song then!! Members didn't pay 77$ for a year of silence, streaming vids and an album they can now buy in stores for 4.99 did they? And by the way, did you get your T-shirt yet?!

Obviously however, that Purple Universe called Lotusflow3r.com could not have gone out in any other way than with a big bang or better yet perhabs, getting sucked into a black hole, the cause of which now, seems to be mainly sheer incompetence and disinterest.

Yes, Prince manages to get himself in even more trouble. Not only does he fail to pay his 250K in property taxes, which is something that can be easily managed still for a rich man like him, but he also fails, yet again, to treat his paying customers, his fans, his basic bread and butter, properly and correctly. For the umpteenth time and this time really, really bad.

What happened??!! Well, despite many members cancelling their subscription, they STILL got their cards automatically charged 77$ for another year of.... Of what exactly? Well, in any case of a year that began with an apology and a promise of a refund. Not by Prince tho', but by his 'support' team of whomever that may be that, just to make things even more better, further blames it on the payment gateway company.

"Cause and Effect" indeed.

I am not saying all this happened because of New Year's Eve. Rather I am saying that it's his karma coming back at him, but the funny thing is that all the bad news of late starts with that shameless act of disrespect of his religion. Because really, when he calls himself a Jehova's Witness, but celebrates NEW YEAR'S EVE with 50 cents and the Black Eyed Pees out of all people and in Las Vegas out of all places, I do think he asks for an "effect" that can be nothing but bad.

I agree. So I am glad you brought that up. After observing and analaysing what just happened and why the question is, what now? Will he learn for the BETTER? Will his fans? Or will things, despite of karma crashing, still stay the same?

But nobody wants to discuss that, I guess. Those who are fed up, don't see the need. Those who still don't get it, remain beliggerent.

He starts one thread over here and God knows how long and he's obsessed? I would venture to say that those drooling over Prince pictures or discussing his dick size are more obsessed.

The typical thing to do in this forum is name-call those who don't shoot sunshine up Prince's ass. The so-called positive ones get the most dirty when their hero is being "attacked". Where are the posts criticizing other people for discussing every other aspect of Prince's personal life?

I will tell some of you like it's been told to me: if you don't like the thread's topic then ignore it.

I'm not his attorney. No one hates Prince and I am sure as fuck not jealous of him. And how is it passive agressive when Tremolina is saying exactly what he feels?

There is room for dissenting opinions on this site. Some of you need to deal with it.

Look here, son, I am getting fed up with YOU making this personal and breaking the forum rules.

I bet I post 99% less than you in this forum. Your name is not 'lotusboy' for nothing.

I have a right to speak my mind and reflect on the news. That you cannot handle a little sarcasme about your idol and immediately have to make it personal is YOUR problem. Don't make it mine.

Soif you do not quit your hating and crapping on me and my thread right now, I am gonna have to ask the moderators to remove you off this thread.

They are all in the music industry and are all successful in their craft. Heck black folks making money talking biz about the music biz and chillin' is what you should expect with people on their level of celebrity.

Prince's actions have been quite perplexing. But I don't think they're any worse than they were before. It's just now it's catching up to him. So 'cause & effect' indeed.

I don't want anyone here thinking that I'm equating Prince to Hitler with my next statement, so you guys can keep your ignorant ass leaps of conjecture to yourselves.

But let's look at Hitler. He revamped the educational system in Germany. He completely modernized the country, and brought it out of finanical ruin. His improvements to almost every facet of the infrastructure of Germany are to this very day still being enjoyed. His autobahn is not only still extremely successful and useful, and indeed VITAL to the German economy, but it is mimicked around the world.

What do you think Hitler gets remembered for though? lol

Again, not equating Prince to Hitler here, but my point is that Prince may be an accomplished musician, but if he doesn't straighten up, he'll be remembered for the guy that fucked up his career.

Let's face it, if Clive Davis can't revive your career---it's time to take a step back and change up a few things.

I don't feel sorry for Prince in the leaste. Though I think it's nobody's business honestly when he pays his taxes late. Prince is just too rich and too spoiled with people who can do his day-to-day living chores to fuck up this badly.

Lastly, even if it was third party vendors who messed up the credit card charges recently, Prince is the face of lotusflow3r. It's just good business practice to make some kind of a statement--and I'm not talking about a 'response song' poking lifetime fans in the eye.

I find it quite disturbing that some of the same folk who were holding on to their watchtowers that prince gave them when they were stalking him behind his tour bus during the musicology tour -have now calmed down and choosen to take issue with every move he makes.

if he took time to pass a message out to anyone - i can only believe it was out of love and care.

you all would say the same thing about Jesus talking to the woman at the well if you were alive back then-

the fact in all of this is- not one of us were there to even know what was going on at that party- .....

I think Prince thoroughly deserves all this and I'm not displeased to see him fuck up and actually face the consequences.

Re his religion, I think it's always been a sham that he's tried so very hard to convince himself and his fans about, but I don't see him as a spiritual person, just a very lost, confused one.

Prince has not given me a Watchtower, nor Tremolina so I have no idea what you are talking about. Nor have I or he ever stalked a damn tour bus.

I do not need to know what went on at that party but if you are passing out a message saying how your faith is different or better than everyone else's, shouldn't you be following that?

I find it a wee bit strange that people seem to have no problem with him being so dismissive of their beliefs.

And before any of you say it, yeah I know you guys don't care what Prince says about your faith. it's all about the music.

Exactly. Contrary to popular belief, Prince fucks shit up just like us mortals. And when he does, it's not too out of line to expect people to talk about it, just like they will when Paris, Lindsay, George, or Michael do something stoopid.

Expecting an exception for Prince is just reclitulous. Prince is fucking grown ass man...he can take his lumps like everyone else.

If Prince wasn't a Jehova's Witness and so vocal about following the word of God, I wouldn't have commented on it. THEN this could simply be filed under 'regular superstar business'.

However, the point is that the man preaches and even judges other people's (lack of) religion in his music and on stage, but does not practice what he preaches himself. With these worldy parties, lifestyle and actions, he acts like the preacher in 'Family Name'.

Therefore, in my humble opinion, that you naturally and wholeheartedly may disagree with, he embarrasses himself, his music, his fans and his religious brothers and sisters who DO practice what they preach.

I find it quite disturbing that some of the same folk who were holding on to their watchtowers that prince gave them when they were stalking him behind his tour bus during the musicology tour -have now calmed down and choosen to take issue with every move he makes.
