Okay, so he curls his hair, wears make-up and high heels, sings in falsetto, has beautiful doe eyes, has a butt more callipygian (this is one of my favorite words! I'm waiting for the day it replaces bootylicious in the hip-hop vernacular!) than some women, used to prance around in bikini briefs and leg warmers...but still, I've never thought of Prince as gay--misunderstood, insecure, shy, yes--but not gay.

Years ago I had the biggest crush on a co-worker. It was only years later that it occured to me that the dude gay. They say love is blind so... Who knows maybe years from now I'll have such an epiphany about Prince. But, hey! I've been a fan for 25 years and it hasn't happened yet.
