Graffiti Bridge Sheet Music Fakeout! OMG! I was discussing the Grand Progression and joyinrepetition mentioned he though that it was among the pages of sheet music that Aura browses through when she's in Kid's bedroom in Graffiti Bridge.
So I got out my dvd, found the spot, and zoomed in, hoping to see some evidence that Prince can, in fact, read/write music notation. BEHOLD! There are the titles for the following songs, all with the EXACT SAME NOTES, just different lyrics and titles scrawled on the page. God is Alive (God is Love), The Spiritual World, Rave unto the Joy Fantastic, Love is Everywhere, Dance With Power. I can't believe I never noticed this before! That's some shonky work, P! After all, you were the director, couldn't you have Clare Fischer send you over some charts or something? I'm sure Eric would have whipped you up some music for your own songs. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. Take it - like Clarence said:

You don't want to tell us that that is your only issue with "Graffiti Bridge" - do you?

I think Morris may have been talking to the film itself when he asked "what is your MAIN problem?" Take it - like Clarence said:

I think Morris may have been talking to the film itself when he asked "what is your MAIN problem?" Any appropriate answer to that question would have caused an unreasonable extension of running time of the movie, I suppose...

It cuts out the "dear dad" voiceover and inserts a unicorn dream sequence except instead of a unicorn it's Prince running naked through a forest, and instead of a horn it's... Seriously, I bet it's sitting there in the vault, along with a feature film he (mis)directed for TC Ellis! Take it - like Clarence said:
