Why remake something? Do an original song, lest you be lumped in with every other whoever that covers a Prince song.

Yes you can. You may not gain financially from it without compensating the writer, though. This includes ad revenue on your Facebook site, or embedded YouTube ads. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

That and you should have a lawyer on retainer before playing note one. Those overhead aircraft are good for seeking out copyright infringement as well as dumping chemtrails. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

I agree, if you have talent, do something original. Covers are usually done for contrived reasons. Look at me, I can sing a Prince song. "The voter is less important than the man who provides money to the candidate," - Former Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens

I can play a lot of Prince songs on the piano, but why would I do a lot of Prince songs? I've always wanted to cover "Starfish and Coffee", because it's a more light-hearted song, and more versatile. In general...I don't have the urge to cover Prince songs, because I know I could never do them justice.
