Was listening to "She's So Unusual" last night (one of the best albums of the 80s in my humble opinion) and was wondering what others felt about Cyndi's version.

I think it's fantastic. Really dig Prince's too but I find myself really grooving to Cyndi's.

I like both, but I think I prefer Prince's version. It's got more energy to my ears. I like the sound of hers better, but it just kind of drones on and on a little bit.

But on the plus side I think Cyndis cover of 'Money changes everything' is so much better than the original by The Brains

Cyndi Lauper is cool,

but I still prefer Prince's original.

Funny story about this song: A guy that I dated maybe once or twice was talking about the song "When U Were Mine" by Cyndi Lauper. The guy was saying something about how the lyric about Cyndi letting her man wear all of her clothes was amusing. At the time, I don't think either of us knew it was a Prince song.
