It is just so friggin' over the top, you have to laugh. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

He still should have kicked Wilber's ass. All you others say Hell Yea!!

GREAT song Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I like it overall but I'm not too keen on the lyrics. "Me and Cherry got married and tried our best to keep it on the down low (down low)." WTF! I love almost everything else on the record though.

Great song from a brilliant album. It may not be in my favourite style, but its Prince showing yet again that he can take any traditional style and make it his own.
Its also typical Prince when he turns it on its head and the song becomes about suicide - on first listen, nobody saw that coming! Total juxtaposition to the lyrics that came before and the "tweeness" of the music. ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

Nay, not a big nay but I couldn't say yay.

Big yay from me. I like the Philly Soul throwback, kind of a tribute to the music of Prince's highschool era I'd guess.
It's not too sugary, I think Prince has been way more sugary than this!

I lost my copy of Lotusflow3r for months. Didn't really miss it, but wondered where it went. I had thrown it in a Sterlite container as I started the early days of packing up stuff to move this month. I finally filed it w/ my CDs.

I love it. So yay. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

How is a song about suicide sugary?
I'll Be There by the Jackson Five is sugary. Is that bad? All you others say Hell Yea!!

Would be great if Sonny could sing.
Or if there was some way he could have waited a year and released this whole album with his own vocals only.
