F dat Prince vs. Miko "Fight...how bout Prince vs. LEVI? I vaguely remember, hearing on my IPOD once or TWICE a LOVESEXY TOUR REHEARSAL. something happened during the first couple songs and Prince called Levi out on it. Levi responded back.
room froze. Prince said something else. So did Levi. On and on it went; battle of wits. Sheila even had to interject to save the day. can't remember too much else. Can anybody vouch for me on this becuase I know i coulndt have made this up in my mind. I downloaded this from avery royal royal place that shut down. I wasnt paying much attention so alot of th stuff i downloaded wasnt properly labeled so my ipod is indeed junkie. i couldnt find it! I know the Prince vs. Miko "fight" got talked about alot ( at least on the old Housequake ) but this one was never mentioned. not that i kno of.... | |

I know that Prince and Levi have disputes over song writing credits but I never heard of anything on audio or video.
But I do know that Miko and Prince had a fight during Nude rehersals over Miko's guitar levels. __________________________________________________

I seem to recall a Nude tour rehearsal where Prince and Miko have an arguement,I have never seen it though. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Yea that shit is funny as hell! Miko walking off stage, Prince going back 2 his mic and Miko yells 'Fuck U!" Prince turns around, walks after him saying "Fuck U 2 BOY!" U have 2 turn the volume up waaaaay loud 2 hear what they are saying, but its funny 2 hear it,and even greater 2 see it. One by one,the bandmember's walk offstage, not sure if rehearsal is going 2 continue or not. I'd love hear the Prince and Levi argument though... |

I've never heard the Miko fight, but I have heard this alleged Levi fight. It's on one of the Lovesexy rehearsals. When "Erotic City" starts out, Prince usually says a few lines from "Escape". "Snare drums pound on the 2 and 4, all the party people get on the floor.....BASS". He said "Kansas City". Levi started to play, then stopped. Prince saw it as a mistake. He says, in defense of himself, "Well you usually say 'bass', so..." There's a bit of an argument that ensues, but I wouldn't even really call it an argument. It was more about Levi trying to understand what Prince wanted. The rule ended up being that whatever Prince said, Levi should come in on that beat and start playing, whether he hears "Bass" or "Kansas City" or whatever. Sheila does come in and says "Okay let's do it again" or something like that, to get things back on track. | |

It's on the Funk City boot rehearsal from Lovesexy at Paisley Park. It's more "playful" fighting than anything. Prince has them cut the music and calls Levi out about not starting the bass line. You can hear Prince stomping his foot on the floor and "ranting". It's quite amusing. TRUE BLUE |

Just listen to the beginning of Escape/Erotic City on whatever you have. You'll know it when you hear it. And it is more playful, not a "fuck you" moment like happened with Miko. | |

The Levi/Prince thing can't be considered a fight by any means. I always thought it was funny, just a misunderstanding of cues. It doesn't sound like any tempers are flaring, just that Levi is confused by the Kansas city cue.
If that's considered "fighting" then Prince has done a whole lot of that on various rehearsals with various band members.  |

FUCK....I totally forgot about that one...that is so funny. You can hear Prince screaming and stamping his feet in a major tantrum. Im also pretty sure Levi is trying hard not to laugh.
