Another example off that GB album is "Tick Tick Bang". 80's or 90's?

You're just confusing it with the fact that there wasn't a "year 0", its not applicable to the following years.

So, it covers 1990 - 1999! What's funnier is you then pick a song which would have fit in to either logic anyway, which makes your point moot. If you were looking to get in a song released in 2000, this would have made more sense.

Whilst Interactive is a great song, you'd then have to drop Endorphinemachine - those 2 songs are way too similar to be on the same album, even if you moved them so they weren't concurrent. So, that's a tough call - I'd imagine it was a tough call for Prince too, as he originally had them both on there and realised one had to go!

But I chose Dionne because it vibes like that other gem "Dorothy Parker".
Both songs are simple and timeless, and they both get me in a mood to smile. I NEVER tire of hearing Dionne and its brilliant to me. Just an easy tune to mix with cleaning, driving, or enjoying as dinner music. I think songs like these mentioned shows the genius of Prince as a song writer.

It was barely even a song in 1985. it was new age instrumental take on Under The Cherry Moon at that point. and probably didn't even have a name other than that until he put lyrics to it much later.
