Question about Prince vocals: "Time Waits 4 No One", "Come Home", "I Guess I'm Crazy" etc. ?

The "Gospel" thread made me pick this album and take another listen.

Sorry if this is common knowledge, but:

Does any of these Mavis Staples songs circulate with Prince's lead vocals??

1 Interesting 4:28
2 20th Century Express 3:55
3 Come Home 5:28
4 Jaguar 5:30
5 Train 4:26
6 The Old Songs 5:01
7 I Guess I'm Crazy 4:10
8 Time Waits For No One 6:12

I believe Train is on Dream Factory.

What about songs like Come Home, I Guess I'm Crazy, Time Waits For No One??

those songs are really great, I would love one day to hear these with Prince's vocals,

The Mavis Staples Paisley Park debut album is kind of overlooked,

Time Waits For No One.... is one of the best related albums imo, very soulful... spiritual.

No, Time Waits For No One is a Prince penned song.

There's a video too, featuring a Prince appearance, he's playing the guitar solo at the end of the song. He looks really cool standing in a street under a lamp, playing the guitar.....

Time Waits For No One

U came 2 me
Said give U more time
Time 2 get yourself 2gether
Time 2 make up your mind
I want 4ever love
U want a one night fantasy
While I'm sittin' here waitin' on U
U know somebody somewhere's waitin' on me

Time waits 4 no one
Time don't wait 4 nobody, nobody
And time waits 4 no one
If U wait 2 long
U can turn around and I'll be gone, gone, gone

(Time, time, time)

I just can't sit around
Watchin' my life pass me by
So if U're ever gonna make a change
Better be right now, right now, right now!

I don't know if anybody ever told U, boy
But impatience is my middle name (My middle name)
So if my good, good… good lovin' means anything 2 U, babe
U better stop runnin' your game

Time waits 4 no one (No one)
Time don't wait 4 nobody, nobody
Time waits 4 no one (No one)
If U wait 2 long
U turn around and I'll be gone, gone, gone

U came 2 me
U said give U more time
But baby, baby, I could see through U
Even if I were deaf, dumb and blind

Time waits 4 no one (No one)
Time don't wait 4 nobody, nobody
(Time) Time waits 4 no one
So if U wait 2 long (2 long)
U turn around and I'll be gone, gone, gone

(Time, time, time) Waits 4 no one
Don't wait 4 no one
Nobody, nobody
No, nobody

Time waits 4 no one
Time don't wait 4 nobody, nobody {fade out}
Time, time, time waits 4 no one

"The Old Songs" and "20th Century Express" were not written by Prince, they were written by Homer Banks & Lester Snell. All the others were written by Prince, except the title track which she co-wrote with Prince.

Of the Prince tracks on the album, only Train is circulating with his vocals (because it was on DF as you say).

Just Train, I think.

On her second Prince related album, Prince can be heard on backing vocals on some tracks. Most noticably the truely horrible 'A Man Called Jesus' which features a 'rap' by Mavis barf

And of course, Prince's vocal version of Melody Cool exists as well as the duet God Is Alive.
