TICK,TICK,BANG! underrated?

??

Just got done watching graffiti bridge for the first time , put off watching it for years (didnt want it to ruin PR for me) bad acting yes, fairly bad script yes, but points for being ambitious. In terms of style, on point as usual.

Tick, tick bang to me is the best song of the GB album and the best performance in the movie then 'Still Would Stand All Time' (the song itself)

I actually like Tick Tick Bang. My only complaint is the bridge(the bridge in the song not the movie, musically speaking)
Other than that, very cool song. Graffiti Bridge had some solid tracks on it.

I like the original 80-81 version of the song. Btw, Joy In Repetition is by far the best song on that album.

I like the song. boxed

The year that GB was released, there wasn't anything on the radio that sounded like Tick Tick Bang (even though it wasn't released as a single or anything).

I actually think the title song, Graffiti Bridge, as sugary sweet as it is, is still an underrated song. The gospel ending to the song is quite moving and powerful, despite not being able to transform the syrupy sweet mess of it all.

I LOVE this SONG! My fav line is "U like ice cream..I gotta get u before ur all gone". I melt at that part. The movie isn't as bad as people say. I think Prince wanted 2 say alot and didn't have enough time.

That's one of my fave parts too! I really dig the overdubs on this song. The way he sings them are cool and also the notes he picks to sing the words are dope!! I've been listening to GB a lot lately, has some really good tracks.

OMG did we party to "Tick, Tick, Bang!" in college! LOL... I played it often and constantly had GB in my Walkman (remember those?). That song is on many a Prince mix I have made, no question. But as for best on the album? Wow...Joy In Repetition and The Question of U are 1 and 1A IMO. I think 'Joy' has aged best of the 3 by far..

I guess not being a #1 single like 'Kiss' would give it a lower profile wink Wait, it wasn't even released as a single, was it?

I had a dream that i was in a room full of strangers and i put the performance of 'TTB' from Graffiti Bridge on TV, pretty soon the room was empty. it was quite alarming.

I suspect this would happen in real life too. smile

Tick, Tick, Bang! is actually one of my favorite songs on the Graffiti Bridge album. I don't understand why so many people dislike it.
