A drunk fell on top of me at the NEC in Birmingham in the 90's. I fell over a couple of rows of seats. Luckily, two men in front caught me as I flew past. That brought tears to my eyes.
Prince had just begun a lovely acoustic version of purple rain, which I disrupted by screaming my head off, then missed as security helped me out while I calmed down.
Happy times.

Im sorry but that sounds HILARIOUS!!!!! lol lol lol lol

I want to weep every time he starts he horn filled muzac version of Raspberry beret / take me with you but I can't.

Seriously, I love the music to death but I can't understand how anyone can get so emotionally involved with a song / performance that they cry. I just don't get it.

I am close to tears because I am sooo happy to be at the concert BUT I paid too much money to get all blurry eyed and miss out on something.

Back in 1994 after the riots, Prince played at the Universal Amphetheatre and when the band did Purple Rain, it really was one of the most emotional times I can recall at a concert. People needed to release their emotions and it was the perfect time for that.

Wow...I could only imagine what that was like. Sounds like a cool & powerful moment. Wish I coulda been there!

I can only speak for myself but everyone reacts to music different ways. I know for me, Controversy is a song that helped me in my darkest hour and has become a part of me so when I see him play it (& I'm happy I have) of course I'm going to cry! Lol. For me, to be in the presence of an artist who has brought me music that I love & to know that out of all the songs the artist can pick, they play my favorite song, let alone perform in such a way that touches me, let the tears roll. I don't cry all the time but when I do, I do cool

Damn ... When he was doing the Purple Rain during the Super Bowl warm-up I started tearin' up. I got caught up in the moment. That guitar was singin' that day. Not the actual show. I helped with the stage props during the Super Bowl performance.
Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Looking back it was, but at the time I was sooo ashamed! My friend reckoned Prince (who was at our side of the stage - we were near the front) looked a bit shocked and turned aroud sharpish and went to the other side of the stage.

Wasn't the best show I've ever been to. sigh

I've never personally wept at a concert but at one of the O2 shows the woman next to me bawled her eyes out when he sang Nothing Compares 2 U.
RIP sad

I was just curious because Prince is such an emotional singer that it would be hard not to feel something? I know if I was fortunate to attend a concert I'd probably at some point during the show start balling from witnessing such a magnificent performer. So, have you ever lost it at a Prince concert or have known anybody to blubbler like a baby for "His Royal Badness"?

i cried at all 11 concerts at the o2 i was fortunate to attend x everyone different everyone amazing xx

After a no-show at Indigo2 in London. Back home at the hotel and very drunk. Very emotional night being my first Prince concert.

I've cried watching Pink Floyd perform Comfortably Numb at Live8.

I had tears in my eyes seeing Joe Satriani perform Flying in a Blue Dream.

I also welled up last weekend watching an acoustic performance of Soul Survivor on Vidzone by Beverly Knight.

Never. But my mum cried when seeing him at Wembley Stadium in the 90s.
