last night, i popped in one of my prince video compilations cuz i wuz bored.

the vid 4 "iwbyl" (2nd wave) is first on the tape. cool...

then ol' boy bust out with that "i ain't got no money" line, and it just made me jump 4 some reason!
i'm not an edgy person or anything, it wuz just that damn falsetto that did it. weirdest thing is that i've watched that vid so many times that i'm used 2 his voice.

This actually happened to me not too long ago. I put on a CD of relaxing classical music to fall asleep to, but apparently forgot to clean out the rest of the CD changer. So Mozart or whoever he was had me all lulled and dreamy, then all of a sudden that fucking scream at the beginning of "Violet the Organgrinder" -
WAAA-YEAAHHH! - blasts outta the speakers and I almost fell out of bed. Thanks a lot, Violet.

yeah...the first time I heard the 83 rehearsal for the 83 First AVenue show...Eletric Intercourse...I'm listening with my headphones, all relaxed, and the song starts...then he yells "WAKE UP WENDY"!!! I remember listening to Around The World in a Day on tape with my headphones on and all of sudden "Temptation" came on, I litterally jumped out of my bed and tore the headphones out of stereo.
