I Love the song and have always adored Sheila...

What is, "The Glamorous Life 2 U?

Is it long fur coats in the summertime?
Is it riding around in Limousine?
Is it trips around the World with someone U love?
Is it the ability to buy relaxation?
Is it a frame of mind?

Trips and nice clothes are all very nice, especially if U have someone U love to look nice 4 or go places with, however, 2 me, the "Glamorous Life," is being able to own a home that is romantic. Like Prince says, a pretty house don't make a home, and as Luther says, "A chair is just a chair." A romantic home would do little good if Love Everlasting didn't live there.

I used to think that Diamond Rings and fancy things would make any woman happy, that the Material World held a 'better life' that the cheap rags I am used to, but thru all of my experiences of struggling, I have found that I don't need a thousand dollar dress or a new car to feel good, my struggle has shaped my character, and without that I wouldn't even be me any more, I guess I am trying to say that this woman right here does not like Diamonds anymore

Another thing that is glamorous is Prince's fan's that truly care about his career and how it has grown. Prince has many good fans, some of them may not even be here on this website....but when Prince has at least one that is true. That means something. Prince has my 4ever respect 4 what he has kept on doing. That isn't a materialistic symbol. That is an energy of love, and Prince has it from me, and Prince has the hidden glamour of what a career can do to another human soul. If Prince has ever said to himself... "If only one would know my truth,that would make all of the difference." My love 4 Prince is a glamorous gift in a Biblical sense, whether Prince acknoweleges it or not. I'm right here. In my opinion, regardless of the attacks I recieve...It is glamorous to say so.

I'm talking a lot tonight...I have no where else 2 be. I just want to clear my conscience and say that no matter who Prince physically loves as a wife...I have respected his work throughout my life. I do want to marry Prince, but that's not up to me...that's Prince's decision...The second Prince said, "No," I would do a 180 from here, go on with my life and love Prince secretly in my heart. I don't think stalking a person is glamorous, but trying to meet someone's love halfway is at least sweet. I've done all that I can do at this point. All that I can do respectfully is wait 4 Prince. In my mind, I'm just waiting on a friend.

And I'll tell U what else is glamorous Mr. Nelson...

If U want another woman, I'll call U Mr. Scott Free!

My interpretation of a glamorous life is being true to oneself and enjoying who you are in totality.

My interpretation of a glamorous life is false sense of being. Money ,Clothes ,Diamonds and Furs. Can't keep you happy, this song mean person doesn't have any feeling for love. When love comes she runs..

The "Glamorous Life" is one filled with every wish that you ever dreamed of--fame, travel, associations with other "fames," and obligations like you never dreamed of to people you will never know! Do you want that?! I don't! Some people can deal with it, some can't. Sheila E. has dealt with P's fame and her subsequent fame very well. But many people can't. For some people...the dream is better than the reality!

This thread was intended to get your feelings on what a "Glamorous Life," is to you...not just the character in Sheila's song.

I agree...without Love nothing is glamorous.
