It's time for Prince to reach out to Dangelo.

He does alot of preaching lately these days, now lets see some action.

Exactly.
I wonder if Alan Leeds is still D's manager?

I miss D'Angelo's music. He is so talented. He lives not far from where I live. His favorite restaurant in Midlothian recently closed. I wonder what he's been up to. I've heard so many bad rumors, I hope they're not true neutral I would love for D'Angelo to make another album.

How do you know that he has not?

Why would Prince be good for D'Angelo (Over someone else)?

I cannot recommend a JW....

Both, he and Prince need to honor the laws, instructions in Torah of the true name of The creator and only true Elohim, YHWH (Yah-Wah), and to read the words of Yahoshua in the Kebellsheem (Letters between the Congregations, this World calls The New Testament).

That's it.

Everything he needs is there...He may need to research beyond the King James Version into Hebrew (Ibreet). Greek and Latin versions will tell you how things were misinterpreted over the years (as well).

He needs no man for this. Man will guide him into on of these religions ..which is another class designation of Man (with their cultural and Pagan alterations tot eh original Word).

Music and he is an elder. Questlove is his contemporary, and last i heard they don't get along.

According to Raphael Saadiq, D'angelo was doing well and set to release a new album this year. If I'm not mistaken, Prince was supposed to make a cameo of some sort. What's happened since then?

D`Angelo was caught Saturday in NYC trying to pay $40 for sex w/ an undercover officer posing as a prostitute.
Police said he was arrested early Saturday while behind the wheel of his SUV.
D`Angelo said in a statement that he pleaded not guilty & plans to fight the charge

Dude, these artists aren't even in the same category as each other. On top of that, Prince ain't gonna wanna have anything to do w/ this guy. Gansta rap? C'mon man, seriously... Prince doesn't even cuss anymore. He ain't even that good anyway, @least not to my ears. I've heard much better rap than this dude.

How exactly did Larry Graham 'save Prince's life'? ...I must have missed that news thread.

Who the hell are you talking about? D'Angelo is not a rapper.

That said, stupid topic. Prince can't help D'Angelo.

Hate to say it considering Dangelo's talent, but he is very close to being just a flash in the pan. I mean, as it stands now, Billy Ocean had more of a career and that's a shame.

I hope you're wrong. Dude is pretty brilliant musically. It's a real shame. I hope he releases this album & gets his priorities straight.

Nahh, D' has a gorgeous voice but he is in many ways like a great nostalgia act that lives in a perpetual musical limbo. His music is nice but his music has never been in the now but somewhere in the Lenny Kravitz universe of nothing new.

Prince made himself famous for a fresh approach to music even while re-appropriating past styles. He was the future, the past and the now.

It would be nice if Prince kept moving forward in his old age instead of giving in to easy nostalgia or schmaltz. Even if hr decided to go in directions i loathe like his strange forays into nutty biblical 70's soul jazz fusion TRC stuff,.....nobody could say they saw that shit coming. But listening to a new D' album you know exactly what you are going to get and know you have heard it somewhere before, and you could predict the all the melodies and harmonies before they are played. Yes its nice in that way, its comforting, its familiar, its good, but its just not Prince.
Prince is so talented and full of himself that he has always taken huge musical risks.. and hit the jackpot on occasion and crashed and burned once in a while too. I admire that about him, but as for reaching out to D' for what? To retrieve one of his old styles back?.

Nahh let D' be D' and hope Prince keeps it moving.

D was recently in studio with Badu, putting finishing touches on her (his?) album. His personal problems aside, that's promising in terms of his output. New Amerykah 2 is shaping up to be a Mama's Gun type classic, and maybe D will be inspired by his work with Badu to get his own shit back on on tap.
