Happiest...Saddest...Brightest...Darkest What era do you think was his Brightest and happiest. And also his darkest and saddest era.
Id have to say his Parade era was a very happy time. The movie showed us a side of Prince that we didnt know existed. He was humorous, witty, and down right silly. Up till that point we knew Prince to be mysterious, dark, quiet and weird. Christopher Tracy was a Drastic change from the "kid" in Purple Rain. The live performances, the clothes, the music. One big party! Contrary to Prince saying the Black Album was too dark...Id have to say Come was his darkest and most depressing era. Something about the entire time surrounding that album. The perfomances, the music, the cd cover, the music...everything had this very dreary feel to it. Even the Upbeat songs like Pheromone and Race still had this weird aura about them. To this day, i still get that strange feeling when I listen to that album. What do you guys think?

He never wrote "happier" music than during the Parade era. Every day was a yellow day back then.
There were a lot of dark years, but it's hard to pick just one album or two because those songs got spread over so many different records. Some were on Come, some on C&D, some on Crystal Ball. But they all seem to be from around that 93-95 era. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Plus the TRL appearance and larry graham."Prince:dont hurt em' Larry!

In '84 he was still a weirdo. A funky, rock'n'roll weirdo. The whole myth about the band, backward messages, costumes and lyrics... very dark to me.

Saddest: Rave Brightest: Lovesexy Darkest: 2000-2010 (Because all the days of fun are over now. He made sure of it.) I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

Funny, for happiest and brightest I would chose "Pararde". Saddest: "Rave" (unless we're talking about sad as in disappointing then I'd go with either "D&P" or "Batman" {a perfect waste of good music on a commercial endeavor}). Darkest: "Come" ("Solo", "Papa", "Pheromone") Christopher damn!
