Citizen Kane was not respected until 10 years after. Van Gogh until after he died. Thankfully, there are a few enlightened beings who understand Prince now (and I am not necessarily saying I am one of them...) However, you help me here, even though that was probably not your intention, lol. If Prince said that about 'Oz,' it probably means he agrees with me that his Graffiti Bridge was misunderstood. Thanks SoulAlive, lol. There are many who still do not understand The Wizard of Oz. Andy Fiol Please watch 'Graffiti Bridge' this weekend, and let me know what you think Andy Fiol --------

The only reason it was worth watching was for Sofia Vergara and that hottie black chick with the sexy eyes (don't know her name). What's funny is, my friend bought 'Soul Plane' because Method Man is in it, and he's a fan. Then he left it at my house, he had brought it over to show me how terrible it was. I called him a few days later and I was like "Yo, you left the movie at my house. Want me to bring it back?" and he was like "Nah". LOL Then what's even funnier is that someone stole it from my house. I was mad for a second cos I don't like people jacking my shit, but then I remembered how terrible the movie was and laughed. No,it was just terrible I "understood" what he was TRYING to do.I get the message that he was trying to convey.Unfortunately, the movie is simply a waste of time. The storyline/plot is paper-thin and completely unbelievable, the script is dumb and it all looks like an overlong music video that never seems to end. THE 100 WORST BLACK MOVIES (EVER) 14. Girl 6 (1996) 26. Monster’s Ball (2001) 96. Colors (1988) List compiled by FOX-TV film critic Shawn Edwards. i find this list both offensive and wrong for two reasons..there are movies on there that are widely considered at least decent films and some which i consider great like Higher Learning which wasnt about black problems it was about general social problems like racism, sexism, depression, peer pressure, etc ..and also what constitutes a "black film" because Houseguest had two black people through most of the film and most of the movie took place in a house full of white people in a predominantly white neighborhood...poetic justice and colors dont belong on this list just to name a few if you wanted to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?

I had to go back to the site and go over the lists. I read the best movies that represent the hip/hop culture. Again, I'm convinced he is basing this on his opinion. If you watch any episode of "Cribs" every hip/hop artist featured had a poster of Al Pacino as "Scarface" and yet on his list "Scarface" is #3 of the top 25. Huh? And the #1 movie is one that I don't think anyone but him had heard of...about rival gangs in a BRAZILIAN ghetto. IDK. | |

"Purple Rain" overwhelmed me in '84, I dig "Cherry Moon" to this day, still digesting "3 chains" (don't get it... the players suck). Circumstances haven't been convenient, but I will see this movie soon. I can say that in 1990 I was able to enjoy much of the CD, I didn't get the concept and really hated all the anthem-like songs but loved much of the remaing songs. I do believe that the movie is greatly misunderstood, and for that we are free to criticise Prince. La, la, la
