No, "Peter Paul's Almond Joy". Sheesh, don't you guys know your own frikking language? Or your own frikking candy?

You want to lecture people about the use of their language yet you use crap like "frikking". We all know how to spell arrogant.

1. English is the THIRD language I learned, after Dutch and French.

2. Me using "frikking" is NOT the same as someone not knowing how to properly use the genitive case. "Frikking" is just a variation on a well-known word, just like "frakking" and "fecking". "Peter Pauls, Almond Joy" is just WRONG and displays ignorance about what the line actually means.

For future reference: How To Use An Apostrophe

Shit i just checked & he DOES say "club mix" eek

Can't believe it... 19 years... falloff

Ok, then why on earth does he say "club mix" anyway??? cool

Because the released version is actually a 'club mix' of the original.
The original mix is the 'damn near 10 min mix' found on the 1 sided
birthday promo. The original album version was actually a shorter edit of
this mix. But after Prince made the 'club mix' version, he replaced the
original album version with an edit of the 'club mix' (and that's the
version everyone's familiar with).

Which mix is the full length 'club mix'? The Extended Remix? Or has it not been released?

I really don't think so. I think the comma was only added to emphasize the pause in the way the line is delivered. As commas are wont to do. I think the poster knew exactly what the line means. Their username is "SEXUALCHOCOLATE" after all. If you want to complain about and analyze the effect that the missing apostrophe has on the lyric, more power to you. But I imagine even a world-class pedant as yourself would find that a bit of a stretch.

Yes, the full length 'Club Mix' is the 'Extended Remix' from the US Maxi-single
(Also known as the 'Purple Pump Mix' on some UK/European releases and promos)

Great line

http://www.hersheys.com/p...ondjoy.asp

Oh look, it's a bar called "Almond Joy" made by the Peter Paul Candy Manufacturing Company, hence "Peter Paul's Almond Joy".

"Peter Paul's Almond Joy's got nuts... Mounds don't"
"BEcause... sometimes U feel like a nut, sometimes U don't"

"Hey... U got your peanut butter in my chocolate! Well U got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" OOOPS. Going 2 far now.

RE: Peter Paul Almond Joy

Prince actually pronounced it wrong in the first place - there's no "s" in Peter Paul marketing material vernacular. So I blame the great 2010 Candy Bar Debate on him. But if there was an "s", Bart would be correct in his use of English grammar.

Be that as it may, I'm forever now going to hear "Pitta Paws Amen Joy" anyway.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Thank you, Errant. I can't believe I'm being panned for the misuse of a comma. It's a Friggin' comma! Do you people not have a life? Were we not talking about the actual lyrics themselves? The line is delivered exactly how I wrote it out, that's all I was getting at.
Nuff' sed.
