Besides, it's not remastered, and the two hiccups in "U Got The Look" are still there. No real care was taken in compiling it, once Prince got his final say so in it. | |

If you've got all the studio albums and the twelve inch singles, Why bother? i saw no need to buy this, never would. I don't own any 'greatest hits' type compilations by any of my favourite artists. Utterly pointless releases. |

I don't agree: only, the price is a disgrace, cuz this compilation 2cd is worth a lot more... 1. I did not have several of the extended versions + the MNIP edit version on official cd before this came out. 2. the layout with all the pics of singles etc. was very well made imo. 3. I collect - even compilations. I have 3 editions of Ultimate. 1) the regular 2) the one from UK, slightly different packaging, in super jewel case or whatever it's called (case with round corners) 3) the french Ultimate with the special sticker - [Edited 3/12/10 15:28pm] [Edited 3/12/10 15:49pm] Prince 4Ever. | |

I picked it up in HMV for 7.99.It's also available in Golden Discs for 7.00.If I see it for 2.00 I'll pick it up again for the artwork.Stick that on my wall.
I think personaly it's a good thing.A few people will pick it up for 2.OO & they'll be either reminded of or introduced to a fantastic collection of music. My first Prince album was Planet Earth for free with the daily mail.Not even his best album but it got me curious enough to buy the Best Of which made me a propper fan. I'm not all that suprised.Prince doesn't make it easy for people anyway.We couldn't even get the new album over here other than online.Fun if your already a fan but it'll just pass you by if your an avarage music buyer. | |
