Lookin back at the thread now I guess folks could take it either way. This is why... I keep tellin myself to stay away from this topic. me But I'm writing something and just wanted to throw this out there. Guess I'll keep quiet until I'm done. . i'm white and i can't clap on the 2 and 4. i am always out of sync. i continue to try to figure out the technique. On the other hand if the band is playing with the Prettyman i can't stop dancing and i never miss a beat.
'Why can't we just dance?'

I've always thought of Prince as this brother with a very utopian outlook on life. Like, if "Uptown" existed it would be a place that would be all about being free regardless of race and what not. I bet it'd be okay if you couldn't "clap yo hands on the now" just as long as you had a funky good time.
