Wall Of Berlin? Yay or nay?

It's a weird track..I really don't even know what it is about however I remember you guys not liking it that much before I heard it...and whn I did hear that loud fast paced track with the latin / reggae inspired beat and the playful lyrical arrangement that turns into crazy guitars and fast live drums I was into it I admit.

It really doesnt represent anything musically almost more like a jam..however It hink that's why it worked for my ear, but I don't hear anyone talk about it recently.

What are your views on it now that I am getting my foot back in to Lotus Flow3r?

It's not one of my faves, I also find it quite hard to get into. Great guitar though, hmmm, will give it another spin...

WOB is not my fave from Lotusflower but I still like it. It's really just a fun jam out thang. Cool enough. I do like Lotusflower the title disc very much. It flows nicely and has continuity to it. Just listened to it last week and enjoyed it.

I'm not a big fan of this track: boxed

Wall Of Berlin is ok, but I can live without it too.....

I think it would have been more poignant around 1989 or '90.

From the four tracks that were reviewed on that radio station back then, I preferred this track to Colonized Mind and 4Ever after the first listen.

I really dig it, because it has that raw flaw and an over-all great sound.

I love it - the "airy" guitar reminds me of "Da Bang". Sounds like he's strolling down the street, wailing on his guitar.

The metaphor "down like the Wall of Berlin" would've been more relevant in the early 90s. Younger fans might not even know there was a wall (man, I'm old).

Absolute YES. One of the more natural moments on LF/MPLS. Most everything else feels forced even though simplistic in nature.

This is actually one of my favs off Lotusflow3r. It has a similar drum beat to "Hang You from the Heavens" by the Dead Weather. The guitar work is very Hendrix. Dreamer is like that too. You have to take it for what it is. Trying to keep Prince in that same 80s place is not healthy when observing new stuff.

thumbs up! hell yeah! Love it. One of the best on the set and
also some of the best sounding guitar work he's ever
put on a recording.
