Tal Wilkenfield - Transformation (2007)

Isn't she playing on Shelby J's album? In that case, he's probably heard it... (oh, and she went to the same school as me but, like, a decade later lol )

Was that her playing with Jeff Beck on that concert special I keep seeing on the Palladia channel? She's really good. What is she, like 12 years old, though?

If the concert special was Live At Ronnie Scott's, then yes it was Tal. I have the DVD and it is great. I have seen her with Jeff a couple of times and she is amazing. I believe she is about 24, but I also thought she looked about 12 when I saw her for the first time. Her album is really good. Supposedly it was recorded in two days when she was 20 years old.

Thin Lizzy:Live & Dangerous. It's an old one but it's not to give him something to think about, just for his listening plessure as I think he's been at the forefront of original music himself long before alot of these contemporary Artists were around. eek

I'll recommend a couple, probably ones he would never listen to.

Marco V - Con:fusion (2002) cd only youtube remixes are no good

for :

I feel you - (perfect blend of 10 to 140 bpm)
Simulated - (for perfect percussion sounds & deep enquiring questions in the music without words)
Godd
Indicator - interesting song with no words;

Dj Sakin - Walk on Fire - Trance (for the poems in between the songs)

Morcheeba - Charango (for the accoustic & lyrical content) Triphop
Bedrock - Chris Fortier - just for Elemental-women of colour - Electronic

I think Prince should travel the world and listen a lot to other cultures music.

Then he should let his inspiration do the rest.

I agree with that very much!!

He should check out these guys, The Mars Volta. These r some bad ass dudes. He can mos def get inspired/learn from these cats!! I bet if he saw them live he'd hit the studio quick, lol.

he should check out of Montreal, either their 2006 album Hissing fauna are you the destroyer or their 2007 Skeletal lamping. Than he should work together with Kevin Barnes.
