Of course Prince knows what a cadence is, and anybody doubting that has no clue whatsoever. And of course each and every single time somebody like Prince uses a perfect cadence to end a song or a part of a song structure, he does it 100% purposely, and anybody doubting that again has no clue.

Do you also think he goes from major to minor in certain songs randomly? And when he calls out "B flat" to the band, what's that then? Part of the tourette syndrome that some guys were talking about again recently?? Hell...

All that doesn't have much to do with reading music, and of course it doesn't have anything to do with the ability to appreciate the finished product as a consumer/listener.
