Strand Books in NYC has a few for 15$ but without the disc every now and then they get some with the disc for about 20-25

I checked Borders website and it has this listed for $50.00 and it's not in stock at my local store. Per website at least.
Maybe I should go in actual store and look. Maybe disocunt bin stuff is not on their website.
Would love to get this $4.99. With CD of course. cool

Borders only has it for $50 here, too. But I found it new on Ebay for $9.00. wink

$7.98 @ Half Price Books since early Jan. You can make a decent CD jacket out of the slipcase.

It's not just America. Both an English language bookstore here in Amsterdam (the one at the end of Kalverstraat) and De Slegte (also Kalverstraat) had them cheap.

Not as cheap as $5, but for EUR20. I suppose there was shipping involved, but they are cheap here too, so I think the publishing house dumped them onto the market.

Do you know when you by it that the CD isn't there? I hope that my 3 come with the CD's since I have already scratched up the first one I bought. I know alot of people were not into that CD but I loved all the big horns and got a kick out ot the Scott Joplin intro.

Here in Australia, QBD books have copies also for $5 - and they are not moving. My original copy I brought from Amazon in US and paid a fortune with the shipping included to Oz - now I see it for the throw away price - LOL. But I did buy a copy at that price as the CD is good and nice to have a back up of that anyway. I actually did not mind the book too much, but it could have been alot better with more live photos and fans etc - a celebration of that concert gig. But hey.....this is Prince world.....
Thank you Prince for every note you left behind 💜

I just bought one. 90% off and this thing might actually be worth it.

The book is basically a glorified concert program. Decent pics that I'd never be interested in paying to see. The "story" shows how little Prince really has changed. Allusions to banging the twinz, as well as the hot hotel maid.

I like the pics, actually. It shows the insane clothing, nice hotels, makeup. Prince really lives in a different world than I do.

The cd, of course, is the reason I paid $4.99. I was pleasantly surprised to find it is a million times better than It Ain't Over (Joy In Repetition aside) It's pretty decent, actually. I enjoyed the little speech about getting a photo with Michael Jackson. Some great musical moments.

All in all, I definitely got my $5 worth!

bought a bunch of them. found several copies that were still perfectly sealed. going to sell them on eBay in 10 years to fams. except Borders just keeps coming up with more and more of them. there are about 20 mint copies still sealed there now. confused it may be 20 years before they're worth $6....

there's a bunch for $4.99 at Shrewsbury, Massachusetts Borders, sort of under a table. Maybe if the enclosed CD was filled with dynamite vault tracks the book would have had a longer shelf life. The CD sucks . . . .he needs to stop fucking with his live stuff.

My friend in California bought me one and sent it. She didn't know I already had one. It's perfect though. I never take the book out, because I hate to have people finger print up my stuff. But now I have a keepsake copy, and a public copy.

With Borders Rewards, I got it for 2 bucks. No one was gonna pay the original 50-something price tag for a bunch of mediocre glamour shots, "poetry" that are just lyrics to 3121 and Planet Earth songs we've heard a million times before, and a live CD. All my copy's doing is sucking up space on my shelf. Can't say I expected much else.
