Lady vs Mr Cab Driver Lenny Kravitz's Mr Cab Driver sounds very different to Prince's Lady Cab Driver, yet I still feel that it was inspired by the older song. Any thoughts? (apologies if this has appeared before) This is what it's like in the dream factory...

The only similarity I can see is the title. In Lenny's song, the cab driver embodies all the ills of society. In Lady Cab Driver, the driver represents an escape or release from the cruelties of the world. I like them both though.

I like both Rock And Roll Is Dead and Rock And Roll Is Alive. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

it was really more a question of whether anyone thinks if they draw inspiration from each other's songs or is it one-sided? Rock and Roll is Alive/Dead are, again, very different, yet the styles compliment each other. This is what it's like in the dream factory...
