I want to put together a mix of the best of this genre - featuring Prince especially but other artists too. What are the most classic tracks in your expert Prince opinions?

Go to Wikipedia and look at Jam/Lewis' production credits, and chose from that, plus anyone else you know is from Mpls and adopted that sound.

So pick your own, and work it out.

Almost anything from 1981 - 1987 from any of the MPLS writers and producers (not just Prince).
