Look...for the last time...I like good music! What defines good music to me is up to MY ears! I know it when I hear it and I know it when I don't! When Prince makes music that's good to me, I say so and when he doesn't, I say so! I don't want him to go back to the '80s because he couldn't even if he wanted to, so get off that bs, I just want the music to be good...period!

timeout Hey, timeout you two, or no more candy. lol Remember we all have different music tastes, and what works for one may not work for the other, so chill chillout for a moment, take a breather, and just wait for tomorrow to happen. At least then you could use all this energy to express your individual opinion(s) of the song. See, this is the kind of excitement that happens whenever news of Prince releasing a new song is announced....cause and effect, no pun intended. boxed

I'm not the one telling people how they should or should not feel about Prince's music nor what they should or should not do with regards to it.

It's funny how that always seems to be the Fammy folks!

I completely agree, and this sums up how I view his music. I don't believe he could write a truly funky song to save his life these days (at least to my liking, anyway), but when it comes to rock, I think he's at the top of his game. So yeah, I'm looking forward to the new song.

Oh yeah he's at the top of his game when it comes to rock, When he took on two of today's biggest rock icons and the Beatles, he not only did them justice, he did them proud.
Who today could you even imagine doing that?. As much as love Radiohead and The Foo Fighters, Prince's take of their songs and also The Beatles "While My guitar Gently Weeps" in many ways put those guys to shame, I promise you the members of both The Foo Fighters and Radiohead were not politely or patronizingly praising Prince's take on their songs but were humbled to see such bad-ass solos in Prince's version of their compositions that more than out-rocked their own best performance on their best days.
when it comes to Rock and Live, I honestly dont believe there is anyone better alive today.

The fammy folks deserve their right to their opinion of any song too, even if the not-so-fammy have a problem with them liking it. Everyone is an individual, and if someone likes the song, they shouldn't be bashed for it, and for those that don't like a song, shouldn't be bashed as well. We're all a little guilty for going after either the fammy and not-so-fammy.

But you do have to admit that many that don't like a particular song, often go beyond criticizing the song, and will take it to bashing the artist on a personal level, to no end, like some obsessive, angry person with a whip and chain, and a bad chip on their shoulders. lol

I don't have a problem with constructive criticism, because there's always room for improvement, and besides, none of us have the same, exact tastes in music. We all pretty much know what type of music or a particular sound in the music we admire from an artist, that rings our bells. I can't say I liked every song my favorite artists have released. Even the most well-known and popular artists, don't always make a hit single/album, but it's not the end of the world when they don't.

I would think if any of these orgers have kids, and their kids didn't do well on a particular subject in school or a test, that they would not criticize them in a bashing, degrading way like I've seen here, but more or less, use constructive criticism that could help them improve.

To be fair I believe you are correct in this last statement.

We cannot bash people for making one sentence reviews of a song like "shit" "shite" "crap" "im going to listen to Strange Relationship now"

Immature no intelligable "reviews" like that need not to be used as a song review. it's so sad but it's the truth, it happens. I just wish those people would just not post at all. So if you are one of those people who cant intelligently comprehend an evaluation of music composition those need not to listen or apply...or people who came on here that has not liked anything in the past 10 years...just don't listen to it and you'll be better off.

I know if I dont like it I will state the reason WHY and not just look like a dumbass like half of you fools on here, yeah I said it, fuck all of you; you know who you are.

The way people express their critics is a state of their intellect and intelligent.

Dumb people will react in a dumb way. They just don’t know how to find the correct words. They express themselves with they way the feel about a matter and think they have to react on every subject that come along.

The smart people have to coop with this in silence otherwise there will be endless discussions about nothing.

It is sad that a lot org comments are in a bashy way. I read them too but i just don’t react on every subject i disagree on.

The best reactions on a subject are the “none” reactions. Maybe the org must show us how many people are reading but not reacting on a subject. These are the people who really matters.

All 7 and we will watch them fall.....

Yeah but you understood what I meant obviosuly, that's how you grab somebody attention..is that smart..or is that dumb? Correct or incorrect? Only so much reading one person can take before exploding on the forum. You came here with the name "Haterina.." and expected no one to say nothing to the posts you make along with joeylawson or whatever the hell the name is and then have the last nerve to try and defend yourselves...wanting attention and the need for belonging by bashing...I guess you are smart..because it worked, however remember the readers are too. So yes I guess you did make a name for yourself on here. I give YOU credit for evaluating most tunes you have by stating the REASON, however all you do is bring the dumbasses out with your posts..its THOSE people that need to get checked. Im just saying don't come here and not expect anyone to disagree with you either. Im expecting you to disagree with me right now.

those who are saying that he hasn't been playing such fierce guitar
in years; have they listened to "dreamer", "wall of berlin", "boom"
or even "colonized mind"?

the clip sounds cool, i wonder what the 'poppy chorus' will sounds
like. i'm thinking a cross between "guitar" and "colonized mind".
