Makeup artists can do amazing things too. Have you ever seen episodes of Oprah where she doesn't wear any makeup? I have, and it'll give you nightmares. Oprah's eyes are actually on opposite sides of her head, but her makeup artists bring 'em together every day through their tricks. So imagine what they can do to Prince.

But yeah, he uses the shit out of Photoshop too.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Have anyone ever noticed how it seems at times, it seems like he's a different person?

Like look at that picture, he has a shockingly skinny bone structure/neck and shockingly delicate and very feminine features. It practically seems like you could just touch them and they would fall apart lol . He also has very light skin, way too light for a black man. And way too young looking for a 50 something year old man. Also his eyes are a lot lighter here too and much thinner eyebrows.

Compare it to that picture, his features are fairly masculine and although he's still light skinned, he looks like a light skinned black guy. Also his skin is darker and he looks like has a lot healthier weight. He looks a lot older hear than he does nowadays more than 30 years later. His eyes are a lot darker here as well and bushier eyebrows.

What I'm saying is it seems like Prince has the opposite effect of aging, even in a scary way. As if it's artificial or something. I'm not saying had plastic surgery or anything, but it's just odd how he changed so much. It's even possible he uses impersonators sometime. Please don't take this too offensiely, but I know you get what I'm saying, unless you blind..

His complexion is not way too light for a black man. lol There are many within our race group even lighter than Prince. I cannot believe so many people in 2010, are still uneducated about the various complexions within the Black American group in this country. We don't all look alike. I don't take anything you say offensively, just kind of shocked so many people don't take the time or make the effort to learn about the various complexions/hair textures/features/various ethnic groups of Black people in America, the Caribbean and Africa.

Wrong!

Of course he looks after himself, probably with a highly calorie-restricted diet, but there is no doubt he's had some surgery too, and that his promotional shots are airbrushed. The guy has good genes, but not /that/ good - he is over 50, afterall!

Just to expand.

Even white people have differences to their white. Some are paper white, others (like me) are closer to the Italian complexion. There's a Roman nose, a Greek nose, English ears ect. ect. .. all white people, with essentially "ethnic" characteristics of what people call "white". It shouldn't be tough applying that universially to other skin colours.

He actually looks really old there, the mouth is slipping, theres a lot of foundation to hide the crows feet and laugh line. I would say he definetly looks in his 50s and maybe even 60 there.
As for negro features, I agree, Black people come in all shades, very few American negroes compare to Black africans, even Wesley snipes next to a Sudnaese dinka or a full lipped Congolese Luba tribesmen would look very different, some Black people are very light, even TV families have these contrasts (Look how black Carlton and Vivian 1 were compared to Will and especially Hilary who was very pale).
We need to get over this image of every African American as having jet black skin, nappy hair a nose thats as wide as the mouth and 4 cm thick and 8 cm wide lips. Some Blacks have very European and fine features under jet black skin (Alfonso Ribeiro looks more Dravidian (Dark skinned Indian) than negro, as he has fine features) and Will Smith could pass for Polynesian rather than Black. People like Prince could almost pass for white or Malaysian.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I dont know for sure about the surgery..but aside from his lips being thinner then they were in the early 80's always came to my attention. I remember watching the Interactive video and they had a shot of his mouth singing and I was like "what the fuck happend to his lip" lol . But yeah his lips got thinner, imo
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

There's this thing called photoshop...

Yea..photoshopped SEVERLY!
But also...He is just skinnier. His face was 20 or 21 during "For You". People's features change from that age. Mine did, and Im no where near 50 yet.
Botox, chemical peels, lotions and potions...YES. Surgery????? I kinda doubt it.
Another thing, is the fact he truely enjoys his job. He is also a vegetarian. Those 2 things make a HUGE difference in aging.

You HEARD a RUMOR? Seriously? That's what you're going on? A rumor you heard from 7th hand generation information probably?

If anyone has seen Oprah in the chair, she's constantly having ongoing meetings w/ producers, etc. If it takes 2 hours, there's a good reason - Interruption!

Why would it be funny, that a naturally, fair-skinned black person could have a complexion similar to a white person without skin lightening agents? That doesn't make sense. lol Black people come in all shades, that shouldn't surprise anyone these days.

The nurse I work with is exactly the same complexion as Prince, and she identifies as a Black woman, married to a black man, and she has two Black parents. I think when some folks see the term "Black" when describing people of African/African-American descent, right away they think they all have to be extremely dark-skinned.

Black is a general term that many Black people in this country use to define themselves as part of one race group, although many of us come from various cultures/some choose to use the term African-American, although we all vary in complexion. You have to remember that many things happened in the past in America/Caribbean during the transatlantic slave trade, that folks don't like to talk about. Let's not forget that there have also been many consensual, mixed relationships over the years to present day, that had nothing to do with the slavery era, is why there are so many, varied complexions among African-Americans/Blacks. Honestly I think African-Americans are the only group that find themselves constantly having to explain their existence and varied physical appearances and complexions. lol

Well, you'll be even more surprised, when I tell you that that term "Negro" will be on the U.S. 2010 Census, as one of the identifiers of African-American/Black. I'm surprised they didn't add "Colored" as well. lol
