Some people are new to this site and don't know if something has been asked. Or some people may like to ask a particular question, in order, to get how they feel about something Prince is doing or has done out there for the masses to comment on. I see nothing wrong with this thread, but then again, I'm a new to prince.org. I don't understand why some people must be sooooo critical of what others are saying/asking. Either answer the question or don't. In response to what you said about vintage. My vintage meant that only one of the songs on my list was released in this current century. And from what you've just posted you haven't liked anything past 1996. Why is that, Ernest? Too new to use the search function I take it. I'm with Ernest. This comes up monthly. In fact there should probably be a thread of topics that are monthly arrivals. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think. |

Back to the thread.... I like a lot of Prince's songs. You asked for five. My Love is Forever, becuz it sounds so not like Prince in his early years. It's a very sweet song. It's Gonna Be Lonely, I like how it ends. He's reinterating his point that's its gonna be lonely. Mr. Goodnight, this is the first song that he sounded really good rapping.(my opinion) Diamonds and Pearls, another sweet song Tied for fifth (only because I can't pick just one of these three) Pink Cashmere, If I Was Your Girlfriend, and Adore. All because of the sentiments contained in the lyrics. I know, the majority of songs on this list are vintage Prince. Maria 1999 why do u feel u need to explain yourself to anybody????U might not have as much Prince knowledge as some think they might , but i happen to feel this thread. My fav 5 are first The Beautiful Ones., The Dance, AUTOMATIC, Anestisia, Iwanna be your lover. Thats off the top of my head , but if i had to name 5 more it would be a whole nother 5  Pray Daily!!!!!
