Which is make great music that fits his talent, instead of releasing some dreck that sounds like he recorded it on a Monday afternoon cuz he needed to release something to pay the bills. And by "recorded" I mean "assembled from older recordings he had laying around".

I don't give a flying fuck what style it is in, just as long as it's "real". Post-Lovesexy the quality of his output went down each year, until he suddenly hit a rich vein in 1993, which resulted in the great output of 1994/95. Then in 1996 it dropped dramatically and never recovered.
