These are all amazing. I think ICNTTPOYM is massively under-rated. I watched Sign O The Times this morning for the first time in years. Good memories.

Even though it's very short, the solo in Batdance is killer and that being said so is the solo in America!

So I was jamming out to some old school Prince today and I Listened to "Computer Blue"..... "P" skills when it comes to playing the guitar are at Hendrix Standards IMO! I bow at his feet for so many of his beautiful guitar solos.. but for some reason when ever I hear "computer blue" (I think damn this is one of the best guitar solos he has ever done) so my question to all of you is ....? Which song makes you go WOW! when "P"( plays his guitar)? wink biggrin
[Edited 2/21/10 0:21am]

It was the cockiest solo i've ever seen him do, but holy shit, that is something that every Prince fan has to see, i almost fell out my chair the first time i saw it. Was a good all-round job by all the guys involved, great video to watch.

i love the look on Dharni(sp?) Harrisons face when P falls into the crowd...classic!!!!

and at the end when he struts off the stage bow
seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before music beret

Guitar Gently Weeps from the Rock n Roll HOF is the greatest Prince guitar moment ever and one of the greatest live solos in rock history - point blank.

Bambi from the Undertaker video is number 2 - hands down

Just My Imagination from the Small Club boot

Impossible to say really....

But I've always had a soft spot for the solos in 'I Will' and 'Dinner with Delores'. Great two part harmonies. Nice, well structured melodies, and not the random wailing that Prince is occasionally fond of.

I love in the SOTT film when the guitar does a to and fro (that's a technical term, y'understand) with the horns. He does the same thing on the Vegas DVD, but I can't remember which song. These make me happy.

Recorded, besides those above I'd say Question of U
