Lion of Judah still has it.. For me this track only gets better every time i listen to it. The guitar work, particularly at the end sends shivers up my spine. Its such a cool song, anyone feelin it?

The first few times I spun Planet Earth I hated this track, but it has grown on me and now I think it's the best track on the album. [Edited 2/20/10 9:50am]

I think that is how Prince's new stuff is. U have to listen to it a few times and than u see the magic in the song. I still say those that think his newer stuff is bad. Even a bad Prince song is better than anything people are putting out today. Proverbs 23:9

I was just listening to this song on the way home from work today. I really don't enjoy this song. The guitar is pretty cool, I guess, but it just doesn't do anything for me. I could read you poetry and then we could make a story of our own.

My favorite song on that horrible album. Love everything about it except for the chorus and its biblical metaphors. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I don't understand why folks hate this song so much.
And I don't get why folks hate Planet Earth so much. It's not great, I admit. But the album's also not terrible either. It's far better than New Power Soul, in my opinion. I also liked: All The Midnights in the World Planet Earth (the title track) Somewhere Here On Earth (his best vocal treatment in years) The One You Wanna C (even though it's not great, it's still catchy enough). Chelsea Grammar (too long and a bit boring after a while, but not horrible either) And I don't care what you fuckers say, I laughed at Mr. Goodnight, especially the "Raisonettes" line and the "Spanish man" line. Brilliant

Brilliant It´s not THAT bad as an album but this is one of those albums with good music being ruined by not so good lyrics....a bit like TRC. I think Somewhere Here On Earth and Lion of Judah are some of the best songs he´s written in the past 15 years but I don´t like the "Lion of Judah" metaphor in the chorus and I can´t stand the lyrics to "The One U Wanna C" so I skip the song. And Chelsea Rodgers is just plain boring,I still don´t understand why people like that song. And you´re right, the line about the "Spanish man" is pure genius, albeit unintentionally funny. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
