Yellow & In Rock Boots

If one already has the Work Vols 1-9 is there any need for Yellow or In Rock?
I know I got to be cooler than that cat you're sittin' with....

It's all about what you wish to own. In Rock was the first bootleg I ever bought. I wish I still had it.

Thanks for the replies. As far as tracklistings I was wondering if Yellow and In Rock contain anything that the Work doesnt....

In Rock contains a lot of Live tracks that I don't believe are on the Work. Like "Blues in C" and "Just my imagination".
Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Well but "Blues In C" is on various Lovesexy boots, and "Just My Imagination" is on Small Club of course. The Work is studio stuff.

I thought that's what this person was asking, if there is a difference between In Rock and The Work.

I know. I guess it more depends on what live boots they have, single In Rock is really a compilation of live and outtake stuff.

I like the work because it's well sourced and well organized compared to other anthology type boots. I like it not having a mess of live tracks because I prefer my live concert recordings to be as intact as a set as possible. That's just me though.

I kinda liked "In rock". To me it was like a "greatest hits" of live tracks. I like how they used live songs that were, or contained parts of, non album tracks. If you like hearing the live songs in context to the rest of the tour they were from, you won't like "In Rock". If you are like me and just want to hear some different stuff, you'll like this. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight. I have In Rock , and just acquired The Work ( havent listened yet). I have an opportunity to get Yellow , but didnt know if I would be getting a lot of duplicates. Thanks again....

PS do any live recordings of Lady Cab Driver exist? Its my fav by P , but I have never heard a live version....

I don't normally post pictures of bootlegs but since you asked:

I remember really liking this when it came out because it contained songs I didn't know at the time. I don't have it on me to give the exact track listing off hand (the CD is upstairs and I don't feel like getting it right now lol )but I know it had stuff like "Schoolyard" and "Martika's kitchen". I believe everything on it is also on "The Work."

EDIT:
Here's the track listing:

1 I wonder
2 Player
3 The voice
4 Don't say u love me
5 Open book
6 Sex
7 Spirit
8 Martika's kitchen
9 Love...thy will be done
10 Schoolyard
11 Uh huh
12 Get blue
13 Old friends for sale '91
14 Carmen on top
15 Power from above
16 Five women
17 The voice (part II)

This is one of those CLASSIC boots. Most of the songs were released for the first time on this disc and had never been heard before. Although the sound quality is not that good, the songs on it were (except for the Carmen tracks)!

unfortunately mine was stolen from my bag at madrid airport sad

There are two 1999 shows on the City Lights bootleg set and both shows feature Lady Cab Driver. These are fantastic sounding.

Also of interest would be Lakeland Remastered, 1999 Revisited and The Homecoming(though the sound is not that great, it features all three acts).
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yellow is cool but as i said sucks in sound quality, you could compile the exact same songs on Yellow off The Work and it would be great.
