ronnwinter	All awards ... Does anyone have a list of all awards he has won? Someone asked if I thought he was one of the most decorated artists of all time...I really didnt know. So can anyone help me out?

The list could go on and on, but the big ones would have to be the American Music Awards, Grammys, and Academy Awards for Purple Rain. I don't recall exactly which awards he won that year though. Back then they had album of the year, black album of the year, single of the year, black single of the year...it got to be a little confusing since some black artists were nominated for the plainly titled single of the year or album of the year. It was like black artists had 2 chances to win. In the late 80s I believe he won the "Award of Merit" or something like that. Also in 1994? he won some other special American Music Award, and he thanked all the past band members and such.

jdcxc	This shows how bullshit the Grammys are. Nothing for Dirty Mind, Controversy, and 1999. It took the mainstream success of PR to put Prince on the Grammy radar.
