This is a pill I might have been able to swallow. Streamlined. Covers his strengths. And at the end of this record you might actually even set it back to the beginning and listen to it again.

Edit--> Also, think of how great alot of the songs I have ruthlessly cut sound live. These would be fantastic B-sides and non-album tracks, and all of us here at the org would have just LOVED talking about them at great length and discussing their various merits. They would at least have some mystery about them in that situation.

that's actually not a bad album, the only one thing I would change would be to replace 'Beverly Park' with '$'

Looks terrible, I much prefer it the way things are. lotusflow3r as a single album is great. MPLSound is a nice disc of extras with some great songs like Here.

Yeah, I'm really not a fan of mixing the two albums. They're both great in their own formation as it is, and really quite different sonically

... but if I have to cave, I'd go with this:

I can't believe anybody would include There'll Never B Another Like Me in any configuration other than if you were making a playlist of the biggest crimes against music.

If Prince releases a 3cd set, u guys want 1, if he releases a single cd, it could have been a triple album.....oh my god...

I really like your 30 second photo shop job! I kinda like the vibe of this set. I'm not crazy about "Chocolate Box" coming after "77 Beverly Park". It gives me the same jolt "Hey Valentina!" gives me after "Here". It's like you go from drifting off to Sweet La La Land and then it shakes you out of there. but I totally love Lotusflow3r and MPLSound. Fun thread. I'm imagining the order I'd put the other songs you didn't include.

"Old Skool Company" after "77 Beverly Park" and "Chocolate Box" 3rd flows nicely.

Although it's hard to complain about getting 3 CDs for the price of 1, I wish he had released Lotusflow3r as a single disc and given it a proper promotional push. On it's own, I think it's a great album with a cohesive theme that shows off his guitar skills, but packaged with the other two discs, it gets watered-down. MPLSound and Elixer are totally disposable to me. JMO.

What the hell? Why not just delete the songs you personally don't like? I don't get why people are complaining about getting an extra 2 albums, even if you don't like any of the songs on them doesn't mean they shouldn't have been released, sheesh!

people complain because even at 12 bucks for 3 cds we still payed 12 bucks for only 2 good prince tracks .. dance 4 me and here ... colonized mind was ok as was crimson and clover the rest makes my stomach juices start to gurgle and chocolate box and never be another like me are like really really bad funky baldheads outtakes the elixer record makes celine dion sound like aretha franklin ... if i was teacher prince would get an F in musicology on this package ... i am starting to think wendy and lisa wrote everything from dirty mind to graffiti bridge and rosie gains took it thru to the end of wb ... cmon prince show me what u got shorty

the album that should have been released? the lotusflower title disc
by itself.

pull a few singles off it and make the best songs on MPLSOUND their
b-sides.

that way we could have had some great singles with some totally cool
flip sides.


the way things stand, the album was cheap enough so i'd rather have
it all than anything else. the 3cd package was just fine.

I Love this album...I would have released it as a double cd. and Given Bria her own album. I would have kept the art work on the inside, and Prince's photo on the front. In my opinion, People want to see Prince's full face for a cover.

The only song I would not include would be, "Feel Better..."

And I would include, "Elixer," at the end of MplsSound."
