*NEW* PEACH & BLACK PODCAST: Symbolic Beginnings

Symbolic Beginnings
January 14th, 2010

Peach & Black Podcast double whammy for January 2010! Two shows, 1 day!

For all our loyal listeners we bring to you a second episode for your entertainment, this time we discuss something altogether different: How did MC, Toejam, Captain and Playa all become Prince fans? We talk about our past, first time hearing Prince, what led to our appreciation of the music and much more, it gets a bit rowdy - that’s for sure!

Listen to the review (it's free!): http://peachandblack.podb...eginnings/

Participate in the discussion (also free!): http://peachandblack.proboards.com

Like always - enjoy.

I guess that would be the black album ?

Even though technically it was not officially released until 1994 it was recorded & produced in 1987 after SOTT and before Lovesexy..

I'm still a Prince fan because he's the only artist (imo) who performs with such incredible passion, that it's contagious. I don't like everything he puts out, but I always feel his passion for his music. It's very special. Thanks for doing these podcasts; they're really entertaining! wink

I know! I still remember Kurt Loder announcing it was coming and then a few days later that it was shelved indefinably.

I think so. I can still heard his voice and words "a funk album with X-rated lyrics"

Guys

Just want to say I've only just come across your Podcasts recently. They are awesome. I've always hoped to find other Sydney based Prince fans. Did any of you go to the 2002 Xenophobia celebration? I don't recall any other Sydney-siders there?

Indeed you would have loved it. Craziest experience of my life...7 nights straight of Prince. And yes, I flew over from Sydney just to go. razz

What is the answer to .... The Question Of U ?

Attention Listeners

We are looking at some possible minor changes in the show, one idea is to have some feedback from you, the listeners.

What we are thinking about is possibly having a small portion of the show (most likely the last few minutes) to answer some of your questions from time to time.

So, if you are interested in having your say, commenting on something we have discussed in a previous podcast, have a question for us, or just want to tell us how great (or awful) the show is - you can either submit a written question or send us an audio mp3 (no higher than 128kps please) of your question to possibly be included in the show.

Please send them to funkytempleradio@gmail.com

(We may or may not use your questions/comments depending on suitability [we have avoided lawsuits so far, would like to keep it that way], audio comments/questions may be edited for time constraints or to fit the topic)

Hope to hear from you soon !
