If you took a step back maybe a huge step back. What would it take to WOW YOU by Prince doing something that would be considered a breakthrough or unexpected whether its his music,touring, projects..whatever you want.

Don't know "what else" he could do, but because he has so much to give, I've come to expect the wows. The wows never get old. This is what makes him Prince. As I get older, I think I appreciate his approach to business more than his musical genius.

What would really "Wow," me is if Prince did a 2 hour video by himself.

One hour on acoustic Guitar, and the other hour on Piano...

The Guitar tape could be outdoors even. The Piano could be a home setting.

Open the vault, making the music available on his website (without the need for a membership fee) and on iTunes. That would wow me pretty much.


Musically, he's pretty much done it all as far as wowing me. He was constantly surprising me (in a good way) in the 80's, and to a lesser extent during the early and mid 90's. So, I don't really expect much more from him with that--though I would like to see a solid album on par with SOTT or The Gold Experience. However, this isn't necessary. He's already wowed me many times in the past, musically.

My personal statement: I listen to Prince play nothing but the acoustic guitar, piano, or the drums any time I chose. I said, before in a previous statement. I have been a Prince fan since I was way young, he is 50 now? I am 41, turned at the end of May! Gemini I am, I have an original album of Prince doing these things and people see my collection and want it. So it is in a safe! But, in perfect condition! I had all of his songs placed on my 64mg iPod Touch it was not easy, from record player, to iMac, to iPod but my husband has genius's for that! But, the way Prince could only WOW me is to sing nothing but ballets on his next releases or sing them directly to me face to face! Even then that won't go to well even if that did happen because this bitch would just straight pass out! :0)

It would shock me if Prince would:

1.Lose the conk weave and appreciate who he is. No, he ain't gotta sport a afro with a fist pick in it. Find a realistic and happy medium. The conk weave makes him look older than he is.So do the silky slim threads.

2. Kill the dirty old man role. We know Prince can hold it down. Although collecting young girls by the baker's dozen makes a man feel good, and look good to other dirty old (and young) men, it does NOTHING for one's image in the long run.

3. Stop tryin' to fit in. There's nothing really great to fit into right now, musically.

Do all that, and I'd buy anything he produced because I know his mind would be right.

Finally have a BLACK woman on his arm..

I think Prince's racial inclusion of black women has gotten ten-fold better than it was in the 80's. I used to wince at UTCM were you had these two black guys fighting over a white woman, and the one time a black woman is shown to be interested in Prince, he runs in terror ("Christapha..ahahahahahaha"). Since the late 90's, he's actually included them as love interests in his videos.

Albeit, what he professes on record and what he does in his personal life might be two different things. Michael Jackson claimed to love all races afterall, and ended up whitening his ass to to color of chalk, marrying two very white women, and essentially 'adopting' white kids claiming he 'fathered' at least one of them .

Sadly, what one says and what one does can be quite different, and the 'signals' people always pick up on are those that one does .

i would be seriously amazed if Prince allowed some1 else to produce an entire cd for him (and for what it's worth, i think he should give it a try...he's tried every thing else except this)

I mean, yeah, we know Prince can produce and be a one man musical army, but like a director of a film hires a cinematographer to shoot his film and takes advice on how to perhaps capture his ideas in a new way (and yet still be the "creater" of the film), an outsider could (or at least should) really bring out new things that I'm sure Prince could never come up with alone. The music Prince makes today is fine, but imagine the possible new directions he could go into if he allowed himself to play with people with as much authority as himself..
