Gotta love the Persian look he has here!

I like the album, but I kinda hate the cover.

I'm diggin' it ...

I guess I can see why people dislike it, but I loved the cover from the moment I saw it. Nothing wrong with it in in my opinion.

Is it the lightning or the background that make so many ridicule it?

Not me.

The background bothers me but P looks good.It's just not my favorite cover.

I don't like his hair or that background!

I liked his hair around that period.

And I like the style on the inside cover, its nice.

Terrible cover!

The picture of P is good, but the background and typography are crap.
However, the inside of the booklet that comes with the album is really good.
Why wasn't the cover up to the same standard and in the same style?

(Plus, that picture works so much better with a dark background,
or a plain white one)

the cover as it is, always reminds me of a fanmade fake/tribute to
his "hits/bsides" boxset, which was an iconic cover. this one is a
bit luke warm and so-so.

i agree with you though, that the inside booklet is very nice

Prince has not released an album with an interesting or astethically pleasing cover since Lovesexy in 1988. Everything since then, especially the last 10 years, look like they were knocked up on photoshop in 20 minutes.

I thought Planet Earth had great packaging, didn't quite match the quality of music, unfortunately!

I don't like it. I like the picture of Prince in some way. Hair-do is nice. Background looks so cheap. The font is just eewh! What were they thinking?
Like the pictures and the lay-out inside better though.

Dude hasnt had a decent cover since SOTT.

D&P Holographic cover was just novelty packaging that damages easily. Rainbow children was a preconceived work of art used for the cover, it had nothing to do with the music on the disc. But I admit it was a cover that at the very least gave you something to look at for more that 10 seconds..
