The Joys of Finding Blank DVDs So as I stated recently, we're moving. I have been going through old DVDs with no labels on them trying to figure out what's salvageable and what is trash. This is what I came across, among other things:
Prince - Live at the 02 Arena (not sure what night, but the setlist started with "Planet Earth" and then "1999"). I run a Glam Scans group on Flickr. I know these scans are in there. I'll just have to dig for them and find the one w/ this setlist. Nice find though! Also found a DVD packed with folders of bootleg stuff. Not sure why I'd make a DVD of audio files, opposed to just saving them on my main music hosting computer, but here are the folders I found: Lovesexy Tour -Feb 1.89 Sendai -Feb 7.89 Nagoya 1 -Feb 7.89 Nagoya 2 -Feb 12.89 Osaka 1 -Feb 12.89 Osaka 2 Lovesexy Tour Rehearsal Feb 13.89 Osaka Montreux Jazz Festival July 2007 Montreux Jazz Festival July 2007 - Aftershow (4 tracks) Noon Rendezvous (1 track) Nudity Disk 2 One Nite Alone Apollo London Prince & the Revolution - Stockholm 1986 Disk 1 Prince & the Revolution - Stockholm 1986 Disk 2 This Is What We Do 2 Have Fun (no idea of the date or place of this show) SOTT Rehearsals 1.0 -Disk 1 -Disk 2 -Disk 3 -Disk 4 SOTT - Paris Still Waiting (Soundboard) Need a date on this one too The Avenue -The Rehearsal -The Show The Ultimate Wild Experience Ultrecht -Ultrecht 1 -Ultrecht 2 Varsity Blues Xenophobia (no idea of the numbers on these folders) -June 21.2002 101 -June 22.2002 Sheila E Set -June 22.2002 Sheila E. Set -June 23.2002 3-1 -June 24.2002 -June 25.2002 5-2 -June 26.2002 5-1 -June 26.2002 6-2 -June 28.2002 7-1 -June 28.2002 7-2 Acoustic I'm still confused as to why I'd burn a DVD with this random stuff on it, or even when. I also found a DVD I was making of Janet Jackson appearances in 2008. It had Good Morning America - "Feedback", "That's The Way Love Goes", and part of "Rock With U", as well as her appearance on TRL. I finalized the disk and stored it. | |

What a cool find!I love finding stuff you thought may have gone. Think the place and date on that 'Still waiting' might be 'Monroe, Louisiana 25 February 1982'. It was only a quick search i did thow, so it could be wrong | |

Just looking at the ones requiring info :
The o2 DVD seems to 25th August 2007 ("Funky London") Montreux Jazz Festival Aftershow is only 4 tracks, so you have the whole thing. Nudity (Disc 2) - Nude Tour Rehearsal, 24th April 1990. One Nite Alone Apollo London - could be any of the 3 shows, but the best quality (and most frequently appearing one) is the 3rd October 2002 opening night show. Stockholm 1986 - has to be the soundboard 22nd August show (although there is also a decent audience recording). This Is What We Do 2 Have Fun - 2 Gold Experience Tour Aftershows from Paradiso, Amsterdam 26th & 27th (am) March 1995. Still Waiting - Controversy Tour, Monroe 25th February 1982. The Ultimate Wild Experience - Gold Experience Tour - Brabanthallen, Den Bosch 25th March 1995. Utrecht - could be either one of the 1987 shows, or the 1998 show. Both circulate with the same simple "Utrecht" title. Varsity Blues - Purple Rain Invitation-Only Show, Texas Southern University, Houston 16th January 1985. | |
